I follow him on X...saw what he was saying but as with all things took it with a grain of salt.  I guess he was the one with the correct information vs what all the others were being fed.  I believe anyone here posting was passing along the info they were given.  Scott did a hell of a job keeping it quiet.

Oh yeah, that’s the whole deal here. These guys all think they’ve been under microscopes in their old jobs, but they have no idea. But I feel good about DeVries in this case because Dolson has had literally a year to profile fits here and I know he, of all people, understands the importance of a temperament fit. That being said, now DeVries has got to do it.

There was a verbal agreement and he did back out on Sunday night. That led to my :( on monday. Others like rtz for example said they still felt good about it but i held out hope. (not a shot at rtz). given that came Sunday to turn around and announce your new coach on Tuesday is impressive to me. I thought scott would try and convince a bigger name in the tourney which led to my "mystery canidate" prediction but he chose to get ti wrapped up to get a head start on portal. I am happy with where we are.

FWIW, Jeff Goodman -- who likes nothing better than to pick on Indiana fans -- loves the DeVries hire.  Calls him a workaholic and great X and O coach.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that is literally the point of this board, but i would encourage some research on his playstyle and career history. I think he will grow on you:)
