Yep, if we get blown out, it's over. A competitive loss, and we'll likely get a road game. Win is the obvious outcome. LETS GO!!!

Honestly, that road game as an 11-seed against a Penn State team who hasn’t beaten anybody, and then a quarterfinal game against Miami might not be the worst thing in world. That’s the softest path to the semi finals aside from the 5-seed that gets BYU and Boise St. If we lose to OSU I think that’s best we could hope for, a couple winnable games.

3 teams that could help out IU's show at a playoff berth this week:

Florida (vs Ole Miss)

Army (@ND)

Oklahoma (vs Alabama)

The problem is that the Ole Miss and Bama losses would be against SEC teams so those would not really count as losses.

Galloway wants us to sit Rourke? Bro is either drunk or has CTE

 He is drunk with CTE.

I don’t mind him saying we don’t have the toughest schedule but he repeatedly says we “have played NO ONE”.  Who the hell have PSU and Texas  beaten? ND beat overrated A&M but lost to NIU.  This is one of those years when no one seems unbeatable. The playoff will be fun but we better friggin be in it.

Wonder if they'll tweak this format next year to perhaps guarantee conference champions a playoff spot, but not necessarily a bye if they fall into that slot.

The fact that the ACC champ -- be it Miami or SMU -- gets a bye is absurd. Same with the Big 12 and/or a G5 champion. A team ranked 12th in the CFP getting a top 4 seed is asinine.

Last week's CFP Rankings were by far the most important for Indiana and here is why:

Indiana jumped from 8 to 5 after by far their worst performance of the year against Michigan. The CFP committee could have easily kept them at 8. Instead, they jumped Tennessee who had won that same week against Mississippi State. Right now, Indiana would have to fall behind Tennessee to miss the CFP. Just wouldn't make sense.

Everything so far has told me this: The committee really likes this Indiana Football team. Hate to say this, but the thing that ends this entire debate: Army beats Notre Dame.

Or USC in LA

There is nothing to hate about saying that. That would be stupendous.

No kidding, the 1-2 punch of helping IU AND embarrassing the Fighting Amish? That is precious. Also #3, Army is a pretty good story in their own right.

Opened this expecting it to be another “Indiana needs to get out of the way of the real football schools” article and it’s absolutely not. It’s very good.
