There’s nothing wrong with liking Lindsey better, but 44% from 3 on 7 attempts in one of the toughest mid major conferences is pretty intriguing. Has 3 years of eligibility left too.

Really would doubt they are done when there are two spots available.  A backup big seems like a lock.

IMO seems like staff must've really preferred Lindsey considering how quickly it all came together. Guess they thought this is a better fit. Defense seems like a pretty big ? with this group as of now

He probably went back to New Mexico because his brother just signed yesterday - but maybe we revisit this in about a year and get a two for one?

For comparison, our top 6 rated transfers from last season are below. Probably closer than most people would have guessed.

#18, #45, #63, #102, #105, #112

I don't get some of these ratings though... Lindsay is a starter on a tourney team, #184. Jasai Miles after an OK season at North Florida was #112?

There was some speculation he was happy at UNM but entered the portal so he could take visits with his brother. UNM probably just said we’ll take a commitment from your brother and give you a raise. He gets a bump and gets to play with his brother, not the worst outcome in the world. 
 

Makes me feel way better about getting Lindsey if that scenario was correct

Transfer portal rankings can be fun to look at but they’re mostly useless. There’s far too many players in the portal for the rating services to have any ability to rank them accurately

Agree. At least for guys not near the top. Sam Alexis was #400 something last season. I liked his numbers at Chattanooga way better than Miles at North Florida, and that was pretty obvious watching them play last season.

Just watched POTB w/Tony Adragna breaking down the new additions from the portal. And Tony's take was this unit as a whole should be able to put more pressure out front having more rim protection on the backside with Yigitoglu and Sherrell. Creating more TO's and getting out on the break, something we didn't have this year. D is a ?, but the length and athleticism should be a major improvement. Fingers crossed.
