But from 2018 to 2025, besides their Championship run and a couple of S16 appearances, they have a bunch of early exists similar to us from 1994 to 2002.

McNeely can absolutely stroke it on catch and shoots. He was great in Bennetts system working off the ball going strong screens to find space. Not as good at creating his own space.

If we land Conwell and Dix to go alongside Tucker, give me a pass-first, defensively tough PG and a Bidunga type at the 5 and let’s go compete for a B1G title.

I'm not sure I believe the Preston Murphy stuff but i'd love to get him.  A big part of my reasoning is we are preparing to spend large money on Dix, Conwell, and Fidunga supposedly and you'd think Murphy would have his own set of big dogs he'd want to bring so I just don't see that meshing out financially.  Continue to hope to be wrong. Moikubo will be interesting though too as he seems to be well regarded.  Not thinking he carries the same recruiting swagger but i'm sure he has options lined up too.

I can see that Conwell, Mckneely are more similar than Dix and Mckneely, but I was hoping Conwell was a lock and speaking about the other two. 

Either way, we can't take all 3. 3 solid options, though.

It goes beyond this year for recruiting for why you’d want an assistant

Dix- 97th percentile catch and shoot 3

McKneely- 97th percentile 

Conwell- 98th percentile (year at XU), 95th percentile (year at ISU)

McKneely is almost exclusively catch and shoot. Conwell and Dix can both dribble and both can get to the rim. Conwell can handle the ball, he's a combo guard.

Haven’t seen the kid play but that would absolutely make sense from a roster construction perspective. Coach will know better than we would if he can handle the step up in competition.

Im plenty ready to be done judging players by their rankings on recruiting sites. That’s all our last coach seemed to do while guys who made winning plays like Leal were left to rot on the bench.

I don’t think it was ever discussed how in that one press conference toward the end of the year Woody was talking about Leal and said (paraphrasing) “I decided not to play him, I probably should have played him more, I just… didn’t play him a lot.”

Excited to have a real program being run here again.

Pass all day, every day. I was glad IU passed on him in HS and want him even less now that he's shown to be even more unimpressive than expected.
