My daughters birthday is today, April 1st. At 14 yrs old we took her and her friends out to celebrate at a local restaurant. The whole restaurant watched as the servers sang happy birthday and brought her a cake. My daughter spent 5 mins trying to cut the cake before realizing Mom had switched out the cake. It was just a piece of foam rubber decorated as a cake. Kind of reminds me of CMW's tenure at IU.

Yep,

Lets face it….every visit ramps up the sense of competition for the players services which could possibly add, for an elite player, 100’s of thousands to their package. Like it or not that’s the reality.

I know where he's ranked now. I don't know when he reached that ranking. Hence the question which you didn't answer in any way.

His offer list doesn't look like that of someone who's been highly ranked for a while. It looks like someone who somewhat recently became ranked. That's why I'm asking.

Yes fast riser. He was 304 on 11/30/24, 150 on 1/15/25, and shot all the way up to 70 on 2/2/25

Obviously the ideal scenario is securing a commitment while they're on campus. 

As has been said though, players are smart to take all the visits they can in this market.

With the April 7 date in mind, I don't think the conventional wisdom applies RE: leaving campus without committing. 

At the same time, IU is in a pretty unique spot. Plenty of minutes and money to offer.

But imagine it's hard to envision a team around you when there's virtually no roster. 

Really hope this staff shows themselves to have great prioritization skills / recruiting chops in general this cycle.

If the stringer is still empty on the 7th, then I'll begin getting concerned.

I have wondered how some will respond if we don't have much success with our perceived top targets.
