As someone who is married to a far better-looking person, I understand, but I have also worked for a university for 25 years, and it has always been a no-no to date a student. I have 14 student employees right now, and I would never imagine trying to date one of them.

That’s correct AND at his last introductory press conference he used the exact same line so he’s not really creative to use it two introductory conferences in a row

This thread is jinking to what seems to be a different kind of recruiting.

Can we just go back to criticizing each others' opinions on which players would never want to play at Indiana under different coaches that were fired or let go?

Or how many millions of dollars more we will need to just be slightly above the bubble for the NCAAT in '27?

How about that starting center at U of Dayton that entered the portal?  Since we all know the successful pipeline from Dayton to IU.

The downside, due to past injuries, is huge.

They did it but if he gets hurt and they don’t win enough next year it won’t matter. They are the national champs so they get to take risks that this staff can’t afford to take. Estrella getting hurt here means missing the tournament and coaches may get fired over it. That’s not happening at Michigan. It happens there it’s all well, tough break with the injury. They are in the glow of a national title.

I’m all on board on getting 3 impact guys and then moneyball the rest of the roster. But I’m wondering if we should make those 4 impact guys a PG  and then 2 wings. Then moneyball the bigs. Focus on traits like defense, rebounding, toughness for the bigs. Forgo looking at a big to be a low post scoring presence. Too many holes to fill this year. So just need to build a tourney team. 
 

Id even take the big from Iowa that hit the game winner vs Neb in the dance. He just entered the portal. That caliber of player with 3 stud guard/wings.

I'm not angry about it think its a great hire and I'm sure he will do his job well. Whatever the parameters of his role with in the program are which no one on here really knows. 

I jus think were overhyping the immediate impact of his role. Far more of potential success of this program falls on the DDV and the Coaching Staff. I'm sure Carr with do a great job of IDing talent like he has done for the pacers but keep in mind that Franchise is run by the most underrated and top 4 front office (made up of more than just Carr) in the NBA and a literal NBA champion and 1000 win HC.

Don’t know if this is already posted, but in case it isn’t this is Adragna’s IU portal tracker. Last year he did a really good job of staying on top of it. Nothing super involved but it keeps all of the names in 1 place.

Need one elite 5 man like Sherrill.  It's just too important in the B1G.  Pay him $5M if need to be then get an elite PG for $3M.  A shooter for $2M and Moneyball the rest.

I’d take Allenspach for sure. We need 2 centers unless Acimovic can play as a redshirt freshmen.

Yep, no players with an injury history.  We had a few guys barely pick up a ball last year.
