Josh Harris has some decent stats and 3 years of eligibility. I wouldn't be upset at landing him, though I was hoping for another 4/5 guy and he doesn't look big enough for that. If Harris is visiting I’m assuming he’ll be on the roster, just my opinion mamasa, thebigweave, mike vannice and 3 others 6 Quote
mike vannice Posted April 26 Posted April 26 So are we out on Federico, Payne, and Curtis or just no visits this weekend like Rabby said. If Luke doesn't get the waiver then we go with a freshman or the guy from Greece (best case scenario)? Wouldn't be upset with Josh Harris and a big. Quote

Hes not the defensive big we’ve been looking for, but I do think we need to add some young guys. Edited April 26 by IndyHoosier1997 Stuhoo 1 Quote

No responding to Dakich. That needs to be a directive for the whole team. It should be everyone on the teams directive to dunk on Dakich every time they can. WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 26 Posted April 26 The test of optimism continues. Definitely a different approach. Taking multiple players from a mid major that was terrible is another interesting approach. It could all work, we’ve got some talent and definitely some guys that want to prove things. And North Florida is one of the few teams in the A Sun who purposely schedule power 4 games to get the team ready for conference. So he’s definitely faced high major competition. Let’s see UNF has the 2nd worst NIL money in the A Sun. They get ZERO support from the administration. It wouldn’t surprise me if their beach volleyball team or baseball team got more NIL than basketball. They’ve also lost their best three players in each of the last three years. They were terrible last year too but their best player won SEC player of the year this year. I bet you would’ve loved him on our team this year wouldn’t you? Scotty R and thebigweave 2 Quote

But he has good measurable and put up points and rebounds vs better competition than kids going to high school in Indiana. HoosierHoopster, Juwan Moye, JaybobHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

If he got a bunch of guys that work their tails off, I believe we will see a vast improvement on the court from what we have seen the last 8 years. I'm excited to see how he puts it together. Let’s see I could be wrong, but my sense is that recent history suggests that schools prioritizing high performing mid major and/or unproven P5 talent in the portal have out performed those that emphasize established P5 portal players. At least in cases where a major roster rebuild was required. Michigan and Louisville are obvious examples last year, Florida, KState a couple years back. Quote
