Goode is an exceptional student. He also has something that this fanbase has been clamoring for for a long time—a high basketball IQ. Finally, he was the starting quarterback at FW Homestead, not a bad program. He has the quick thinking and decision making needed to play that position, and the toughness as well. This team may have recruited better shooters than Luke, but no one has the combination of intangibles he brings to the team.

This 1000% he's the one guy I really want on our team above other recruits that may be better.  I hope he gets the waiver or wins a law suit.  He brings so much to the team and his heart and effort for IU show on the floor.  I really long for the day we have Indiana kids on the floor again that had a dream to wear the candy stripes.  I know NIL makes things different but I still like to think there are kids that grow up hoping they will play for IU...

Iceland, Finland.  It's all the same.  :)

Only about 1 in 3 million people are 7 feet tall, and Iceland has less than 400,000 people on the whole island.  Pretty decent chance that Curtis is the tallest person in all of Iceland.  So he's got that going for him.

man if Goode gets his waiver granted, he now becomes like the 3rd or 4th best % 3pt shooter on the team.

That would be awesome, but I'm not so sure.  For sure Tucker DeVries...but Goode had a good shooting percentage at the high major level. Lets see if some of these same shooting numbers remain steady at the high major level for some of our new transfers that came from the low/mid major level.

Do the Torvik thing with Drake and Fredicko added

Unless I'm looking at it wrong, I added Drake and he didn't make much of a difference...only 1 spot in the rankings....Federiko was a different story...we add him and there was an 8 spot differential under the rank. I hope we get him. 7'4" wingspan would be great.

Curtis is a Hoosier……book it…3rd hand knowledge but it’s campus connected

Bringing in a niche piece who would be a plug and play guy year 2, probably the same path as Sisley, would be a fantastic get.

The rank changer doesn't work real well on roster cast.

FWIW, they have put Drake in now and with him IU is listed with a Pythagorean number of .8876.  That would have put IU 34th in last year's ratings, one spot below where 24-11 UConn finished.  With Drake removed, IU's Pythagorean number would be .8799, which would have put them 39th at the end of last year -- one spot after 38th ranked 19-13 West Virginia.

FWIW, if Federiko is added, Torvik moves IU up to 28th when compared to last year's teams -- right after 27-7 Clemson and right before 25-10 Oregon.

Fast forward 1 year from now, if we are remotely close to 28th or similar to either Clemson or Oregons 27-7/25-10 record I’d call that a win
