These players are worth whatever the market dictates…whatever teams are willing to pay.
If you asked Duke admin, Flagg specifically is worth probably 10million+ based upon all he brings to the team on/off the court.

The NCAA and schools have profited for decades on high interest in college sports that’s fueled by strong regional tribalism and partly by the kids being less-talented than professionals. That difference in quality of play and its unpredictability makes the sport great for a lot of people. I’d never cite the lower quality as a reason they shouldn’t be making this kind of money.

I think as this goes on we are going to see this start to fade.  That regional tribalism you speak of also included "our guys."  You know, student athletes that came in as freshman and developed over 3-4 years.  I mean what are those IU teams without the Alfords, Cheaneys, and Oladipos.  Massive roster turnover each year looses that aspect of fandom.

Let’s be honest: the eternal sunshine pumpers are gonna do the same in the opposite direction.

If he picks IU: we’re back!

If he picks UK: he wanted to win a championship and IU has to spend 5 years grinding to the top.

I’m just here for the entertainment of both. I am now invested in this recruitment and haven’t seen the kid play a single minute. I have no idea what his commitment means and I’m guessing depending on the amount he gets it could be a sliding scale from “meh” to “great” with either result.

We're Back! :)
