PG- Pack

SG - Sencire Harris type (tough defender)

SF - DeVries

PF - Bailey

 C - Rim Protector/rebounder/lob threat

I could live with that all day.

In regards to the SG:

Seeing how Sencire Harris responded, with 4 laughing emoji’s, to a DD interview regarding why he chose to move to IU, I believe there is a very small probability he will follow his coach to IU.

That would be 3 pretty big guys in the starting lineup, although shooting would be better than woodys line up hopefully

Bailey as 5

Very small as in … zero percent chance of Harris.

I wonder which players or recruits will follow our two assistant coach additions though.

Seems like a logical conclusion that at least one or two will.

I think IU needs a more dynamic SG than Sencire Harris. Happy he isn’t coming to IU. I’d be happy with Pack at PG, but he needs to have a top end SG to pair with him.

Yep,

The tourney reinforces we need to somehow/hopefully find a 2G that is a tough defender AND is an offensive  threat from the perimeter and taking it to the rim.  Seem to see those guys nearly every game in the tourney but our decade or so search continues.

Notice carefully, he said “ Harris TYPE” . Think he’s not implying Harris specifically.

Not all those teams have as dynamic of a scorer at the 3/4 as Tucked, though.

If we have a 3&D guy... but yes better than Harris, we can still be fine.

Especially if you add another high usage guy in Bailey.

Call me greedy but sign me up for a dynamic 3/4 like Tucker and a 3&D 2G. An elite 2G has been a missing component for far too long.

What can I say…….Reading is hard for me.

EDIT: also, if the “Harris type” means a tough defender but also a 2G that shot 6/53 (11%j  from the three last year my reaction is…no thank you.

Harris probably wasn't a projected start though until Stone got hurt.

Harris off the bench is very good

You need two high level two-way players on the wing to pair with Pack, especially if Bailey and Tucker are your 4 and 5…he’s that big of a black hole. The only team with a winning record that Pack has played on featured Isaiah Wong (ACC POY) and Jordan Miller (2nd team All-ACC/draft pick).

JHS was that guy until X got hurt and he was forced to play point

I think maybe that the plan? Put him as PG with a team of 4 others that can score on the court with him.

I don’t think scoring is the issue. Stopping the other team from scoring however would be a grave concern. Tucker DeVries is a serviceable defender but Bailey and Pack are rather poor at guarding their positions.

Pack is the guard version of Reneau. Nice offensive talent but doesn’t make any one around him or the team better.

Simply not true. His ability to stretch the defense, to honor him from the 3pt line....

Absolutely makes others better.

He's similar to Hulls. Both aren't PGs, but can distribute... Pack had 300+ career assts through 4 seasons (even with a shortened FR year).. and last season was avg 4.3 assts with 3+ A/T ratio all the while shooting 40.3% from 3 for his career on 6+ 3pt FGs per game.

eFG% 54.1 83% FT
