I like it. Or inserting their NIL paycheck into the player introductions when the starting lineup is announced before every game.

So at this point are we 100% certain Mike Woodson will be the coach for the 2024-25 season, or are there still things that could happen that makes Dolson be able to get someone else before next season starts? Just want to know if it’s worth clinging to the sliver of hope i have left that there could still be scenarios that happen that make him not end up being the coach. If not then whatever, and I’ll just try to shift to the “acceptance” stage for next season haha

I think that all depends on who you talk to. My info is telling me he's back.

Jerry and some others have heard that there is a chance a change can still be made.

I would rather someone with a long term plan be paying these players...players 8-11 at IU should not be making 6 figures to do nothing. Sorry.

Yeah that’s what’s making me hope certain scenarios can work themselves out where he gets the boot. Certainly not saying your info is wrong, and that does indeed bum me out knowing it’s what you’re hearing, but knowing there’s still others out there who think something could happen where a change could be made makes it REALLY hard to accept the fact that he’ll be here and try to turn my focus to how his season is going to go. I guess when you want someone gone so bad you just look for any teeny tiny speck of light that could lead to it.

I'm trying to set my mind up for the worst which he is here till the end of next year but if I get some good news before then great.

The only thing that gives me a sliver (and I mean like 1%) of hope is that Liam backing out, the senior speech debacle, the 3rd arse kicking by Nebraska, and the subsequent "ejection" by Woodson all occurred after the Osterman report came out. Maybe, just maybe (again 1% hope) that moved the needle?

This probably sounds like a crazy theory, but I think Gunn specifically is outta-here. If anything related to Pearl or another highly regarded coach is remotely a possibility, they stay and wait for a few more weeks until the tournament is over. Or, I'm crazy.

Still in their best interest to enter now and then just recommit to a new coach at IU if that were to play out.

I disagree. I think the ejection came because he couldn't stand to watch his team get destroyed by Nebraska any longer. It's an NBA/MLB move -- when things are completely derailed whisper the magic words to the refs and walk off in a huff with an early exit.

In this situation it was truly pathetic.

• I was better with 'salty Woody' venting after winning five straight that I am with 'getting @$$ kicked Woody' doing the old man shuffle off of the court instead of staying to tend to his team.

I'll get some pushback from many of you for this: Free-market determining the value of players is a reasonable, dare I say "good" thing.

I wonder if when Dolson had player meetings if he was like “if any of you who want to leave, do you think you’d stay if I was able to land this guy..”, or if they truly do want to play for Woodson, or are fine with just getting a pay bump to play for him again. I thought I saw someone mention maybe some of the players are gonna wait out deciding on entering the portal based on if we end up getting a new coach that they’d be willing to stay for.
