The process at this point, as it’s always been, is to evaluate and decide at season’s end. Nothing about that changed because we played poorly against Iowa or Illinois. Unless Woodson breaks whatever rules remain or has some sort of catastrophic health issue, nothing is going to happen.

Even if it would clearly be in everyone’s best interest, especially Indiana University, to let him go now?  WOW.

I’m not surprised Cathy.  In my 8 years at IU I had interactions with a lot of high ranking professors, Provost Robel, etc.  I knew people very close to McRobbie.  People on this board would fall over if they knew just how inept this people are.  I’m not sure I met a single IU employee who could last a week in the private sector.

Now CathyL is just doing stand-up at this point. LOL

Stop it! You're killing me...

The staff has had a lot of problems with Tucker this season. Not showing up to things, being late, calling around to other schools for next season, and complaining all season about playing time. I would probably stay away from him

His dad seems to be driving a lot of that, too...

They’re playing with a nuclear bomb but I would expect nothing less from the most inept administration in college sports history.

I don't understand the anger at the administration right now because there was never going to fire him mid season. I think to many wanted to believe they had a plan to fire him but to many are to gullible and will believe anything. Let the season play out and if they don't fire him after the season then get pissed at the administration. Why I dislike some of the rumors spread on here is that people take it as gospel and it leads to the mob mentality.

We haven’t beat a team with a winning record in the B10 and a top 50 team out of conference…..it’s been a crap show since the beginning.  Dolson is already having conversations.  I know that’s true.

While I am honored by the nomination (truly) out of respect for the process, I must defer to Kathy for further guidance.

I anticipate the stakeholders will prefer to use an AI author to keep costs low..

We could just play the hits from this thread, lol.

Maybe a full page black and white headshot of Woody's confused face with "Fire Mike Woodson." in bold print on the forehead.

Maybe a headline "Fire Mike Woodson" above headshots of people he has allegedly wronged like Howard, Fife, etc. and short blurbs about his actions toward them. We could include some of our highlights of the various meltdowns around here as evidence that he is driving half the state of Indiana clinically insane and make the case that his immediate removal is a matter of public health and safety.

:farting_smiley:

If we use a headshot, we will have copyright issues ... unless someone here has a photo of a perplexed Woodson that they are willing to license to the effort.

But you don't mind how she talks to everyone else like were children and don't understand the process. Don't mind that the process hasn't worked in many years.

He might not be fired till March 11 which is 6 weeks from today. But I believe the process has started. Him being fired is the middle of the process to me.

But I'm going to save this to see if anything happens before 6 weeks from today

When did I say you didn’t understand how it works? I just called out the noise about him being done before Maryland, which was never a reality.

As a 25-year employee, I hate to say it but you are correct in many ways. There are people who do get it, but they usually are not in decision-making positions.

Just a random example we had this week. We have 16 student hourlies working in our department. one of their bosses decided to do something nice for them and buy them pizza during a rough day. They ordered a supreme, a veggie and a cheese pizza with pecans for the students.

Not of them ate hardly any of it. First off order 5 pizzas and make it simple like pepperoni

No one starts the process without running it by Cathy first

Ha ha. Like the stuff about him being out after the Illinois game? Whoever said that didn’t know about the process at all. Maybe it was Brad Stevens’ wife?

The process rocks. We must be slow and super methodical. After all that's how we landed studs like archie and Woodson. Why change what works!!! Love the process.

Took a dedicated process and team to land Mike woodson. A really amazing home run get.

No, it took a bestie on a power trip to enrich the Wizard of Broad Ripple beyond anything he could ever imagine or have earned. Nepotism. Corruption. Malfeasance. Incompetence.

I know that but Cathy claims it's a long and slow process. So it was a long and slow process to come up with a washed up nba assistant with zero college experience. What she says makes no sense

And that, my friends, is why IU basketball is simply fodder for good teams to play. Nothing like setting the bar to “don’t break the rules”.

After the scene of chaos and destruction that was the Illinois game, there should definitely have been talks of him being out internally after season's end at least, if not sooner. If there weren't talks about that, and as Kathy says, they will wait for end of the season to evaluate, there is a big problem and the process is too rigid. Almost like the process is broken or has a single point of failure.

How on Earth did any of us convince ourselves a change could possibly happen while Quinn Buckner is still entrenched in his role?

Thank you for the reminder that the admin has no sense of urgency around having a competent men's basketball program.

Many of us are well on our way to occupying our time and putting our dollars elsewhere.

At least as long as Cig is around, we'll always have football...

A serious question

What does firing him now help with the future of this program. We won't be able to start interviewing candidates until after the season ends anyway. We can still talk to the agents of candidates through the back channels.even if Woodson is still the coach.  The only thing firing him now is to appease impatient fans.
