From hearing more about it I think Ferguson was the one who screwed it up last time. Hopefully, it was not on purpose but he supposedly said let's get the woman out of the room so we can negotiate not knowing that Tracy was Brad's wife and agent. That rubbed her the wrong away of course

If true that's f'cking insane.  For a program like IU to suck so bad for 25 years, it's world class idiots like this behind the scenes making it happen.

Been telling the PUke fans at work about the "IU message board insiders talking about the increasing possibility of Brad Stevens going to IU"

the terrified looks I get are priceless...  :)

Yeah I’m not going down that road again telling people that IU is getting Stevens. I just get laughed at by everyone I say it to.

Heck the should get booed on campus too after two 25 point beatings.

Like OKHOOSIER I understand the frustration.  But from the outside looking in, booing players is very ugly.  If you are a perspective recruit or recruit's parent seeing it (by watching the game, on social media, etc.), why on earth would you want to risk being on the receiving end it when there are so many other options to choose from?  This mess is a result of poor/absent leadership and coaching.  Most of these players have demonstrated in the past that they can/would perform much better under good or even just average coaching.  Just my two cents...nothing personal.

For PU fans, the worst case scenario for them is any sort of coaching change.  We are still a sleeping giant, or more accurately a giant poisoned by our own moron trustees and donors, but if we can hire a coach that gets us healthy again we can be pretty good.

Best case for PU is more Woody, but those days are rapidly coming to an end.

This is exactly why Dolson should call Tom Crean to see if he would be interested in finishing the season as the interim head coach.  I think he would instill energy into this team but he would fix what is wrong and enhance what we are good at.  It would be a win-win for him and the university.  It would get him back into coaching, which I would think he wants and IU can possibly turn a grim season around with the talent we have.  You let him know it’s just an interim position but it will help him audition for another head coaching position if he could right the ship.  The IU conversation starts around the 7:20 mark.

I'm guessing they might have some idea but don't think they really know what is going on. Heck does anyone really know what is going on besides Scott

I honestly can't imagine what Scott has to deal with internally and behind the scenes.  It must be insane.  But this is his life's calling to seize control and clean up this mess!

There are plenty of fan bases that really don't want IU to land a good coach. They're loving Woodson right now.

Woody knows.  He's a lousy coach but he's not that stupid that he can't see the writing on the wall.  And I feel pretty confident that his 'agent' QB hasn't been counseling him in the background on how to negotiate the end.

I think if he’s made the trip he coaches tomorrow night. But win or lose I think they could announce his retirement on Saturday.

So you think there is a possibility that Woodson not on the sidelines against the Suckeyes?

The way I see it, we did Purdue a huge favor in the 66-0 beatdown of their football team.  They fired their coach the next day.  If Woody survives until the Purdue game, they need to return the favor.  And yes, I cant believe it, but I would be ok with Purdue beating us down just this once.
