Woodson’s results feel like rock bottom, but the bizarre online contingent scolding fans may be even more concerning. I don’t think that goes away when Woodson does… hopefully there’s just less to bicker about when we field a competitive team again.
You should read the Facebook groups. Some of them have no clue

Do people really think he'd leave Michigan after a single year? I don't.

Yeah he has a connection here but if you ask me - he would not have taken the Michigan job, a job in conference, only to bolt for IU that quickly. He would've waited for IU to open up.

This isn't Lane Kiffin we're talkin' about here.

How was he supposed to know Woodson would royally crap the bed like this? For all he knew, Woodson could have kept buying talent and managing to not suck until he turned 70. As a coach, you can only wait around on your dream job for so long, and sometimes, it just never materializes.

I think there is another way to get to Brad and I think Scott is using it genuinely. Tracy will play a big part but not the whole part

If Stevens really wants the job, he'll make it clear to Dolson, when contacted, and give him a number. It makes no sense to chase him and play games.

Troll....plain and simple...This is the Fire Woodson thread.....Its not a Lets Debate Firing Woody thread....I am sure that you can start that one and see who gives you the time of day....so, you are here to stir the fans that want him gone up a bit....

Actually i dont think she is here to stir the fans up but is sent out to try and calm the fanbase.   Seems she shows up each time Woody's seat starts to get really hot.  Does not seem she is able to calm things down though.

Idk, maybe he's a Hawks fan, or Knicks fan, or keeps tabs on IU basketball? Maybe he knows how to go to Wikipedia, looks at Woody's record and realize he's a **** basketball coach and knows there's only one way this ends?

I'm kidding but am interested by what Chris said earlier. I didn't know Dusty was in Bloomington after the final four last year. There could be many reasons for that and I'm not a conspiracy theorist but who knows - maybe he did talk to Scott Dolson who told him his hands are tied at the moment but get some Big Ten experience and I'll call you - maybe as early as next year? Doubtful but one can hope.

I think were past that point. The number has never been a problem. It's just about getting everyone in his family on board

Right and either they are or they aren't. It isn't like they haven't had years to consider the options. If Stevens really wants the IU job and his family wants to relocate back to IN and deal with coaching instead of his GM position, they already know.

He's a really good coach from an X's and O's standpoint. He's also a maniac. His preference to retool in the portal every single season isn't sustainable at a job like Indiana where expectations are sky high every single season. He was shot out of a cannon at Arkansas and crashed and burned even faster.

X's and O's are a fraction of what it takes to be successful here...but you knew that.

We've done manic (2008-2017)... and we're currently retooling in the portal every single season with pretty bad results... and I got a guy who we should shoot out of a cannon... and extremely limited X's and O's...

what else ya got?

I’m not missing the point but I definitely am not convinced we have our “Diebler” at the ready. Since you seemingly are, who should we retain as the interim coach?

No, you completely ARE missing the point.  It doesn't matter who it is.  Give it to Ya, Calbert, Walsh, or even Jordy.  Or bring someone in like the Colts did with Jeff Saturday (such as Crean, Fife, or Dakich).  It doesn't really matter who it is, as long as its not Woodson, and whoever it is knows that it is 2 month temporary job.   Having said that, I still feel the announced retirement at the end of the season is the best route for all involved if announced now.  But one of these two things needs to happen and happen before our next home game, or at the very least, before the Michigan home game.  The one thing at this point that can't happen, is NOTHING.

The Simon's are buying the Boston Celtics and will run him out of town straight to Bloomington.

The "Fire Woodson crowd" is every single IU fan I know. Even my Purdue and UK friends are feeling bad for IUBB fans. All time low, Clown - of course we're emotional. This **** is embarrassing
Illinois fans are also. They don't want us to fire Wilson so it will be easier to beat us.

Declaring everyone is emotional usually doesn’t calm things.  She offers no useful info — oh Woody won’t be fired midseason and if the season goes bad he probably does?  Stop the presses!

In the end she/he is a troll.

I’m sure the whole B1G loves Woody at IU.

Yes but that’s called kidnapping and extortion.

Not a problem... don't we have a few lah-yers on the forum? Pro bono rules!
