Ending it immediately would be the smartest thing they could do short of inventing time travel and making a serious hire in the first place.

....bottom line, this is a business and it's current model has been failing for some time. There should be ZERO resistance from anyone in charge in protecting Coach Woodson's (IU BB playing resume) in the grand scheme of things. I know this isn't the case, because anyway you look at it, it's gonna look bad on him in some way.

Mike Woodson has lost the fan base. His time is coming to an end this March. It will be a glorious day on this site when he “retires”.

@Chris007 that info about meetings being had is definitely making the rounds this morning. I’ll be shocked if an announcement or outright move isn’t made before the season ends at this point

What benefit to the program would exist by firing him now? How would that improve the program in the near term, which is the only real impact it would have. Would we be more competitive? Win more games? Serve the interests of the players?

For the sake of Woodson's legacy, I hope he isn't here when Dusty rolls into town. When he beats them by 20, it'll get very ugly imo.

Removing Woodson before the next home game is not a basketball decision but a prudent risk management decision based on legitimate concerns about crowd control and physical safety at this point.
