Yes, this!   Fired means fired!  Escorted out, and never to come back, and say “Don’t let the door hit you in the a**”!   The only parade is celebrating he is finally gone.  Letting him ride off into the sunset would be a slap in the face, a kick in the teeth, and a baseball bat to the nads!

As we hear that Woody has banned people from Assembly Hall, I say we ban him exile Woody for life.

The discussion about the dismal play of our Hoosiers is getting louder and louder, and it's not just coming from the crazed IU fans, it's coming from national voices.  It is such an embarrassing situation given how much money we spent on this mess.  Unless we make a remarkable turn around, there is no way Woodson comes back again.

I know he has an ego, but at some point he has to know it's time to move on.  The money people aren't going to keep rewarding him.  Rich people didn't get rich by being stupid.  They made one bad investment, I doubt they make another.  I think the kindest. thing for his backers to do is get him out of this situation to save his reputation.  He's old enough to just retire, so just go away.

I was thinking how each year our players start out giving me hope and they gradually start looking so much worse over the course of time.  How many other teams can say that?   Merry Christmas!  We entertained yesterday so today is a quiet rest after we finish picking up.  Keep the faith, it's going to happen.

For the love of all guys; it’s his last season.

IU is a monster economic machine with incredibly perceptive people in charge. They gave him his four year cycle and now we will move on.

I and others have said this so so many times. And it’s been constantly stated because it’s flat out true.

How perceptive are they if it takes them 4 years to realize a coach sucks?

Fire them all.

I truly believe they hoped and gambled that talent could buy time and save woodsons legacy

No doubt that was the plan... clearly they were wrong... no matter how much lipstick you put on it, it's still a pig.

One of the all time stupid moves.  Not only are we still struggling the court, we let Woody spend $6M on a roster that isn't close to what we should get for that much money, and he flubbed another high school class, including some very talented in-state kids.

The damage this idiot does to IUBB is insane and each day it gets to be more and more work to fix.

Players are leaving and likely the coaching staff but anyone saying it is a forgone conclusion is speculating at best and at worst trying to chase Nostradamus status.

not makIng the field of 64 when paying the players top5 money is criminal. #lockhimup

13th highest paid so called coach in the nation. It's a ponzi scheme. Woodson is not a good guy he is arrogant and entitled.

Yep. Unacceptable mistake. Watching my daughter open iu gear this morning getting excited is depressing. Just because I know the he'll that awaits once we start the big 10

My father raised me a Lions fan. I liked to tell him child protective services should have been called for that trauma lol. He’d have never believed the current iteration of Lions football was real.

Probably some truth to your second paragraph.  But to be fair, Fife didn't embrace it either (at least from what I've heard), so it was still going to be difficult to make it work.

Be they never tried!  That’s what sold us fans the concept of MW and once that broke up, I was skeptical on him

And we paid him $4.3/year for his troubles... He's a parasite and we're all idiots.

As far as I concerned, all the above may sound harsh, but I would be opposed but I will take an exile instead.  That’s what he done to people who he felt talk out against him, didn’t agree with him, or weren’t true fans like Brian Evans, Dane Fife, Howard, Matta, and all of us fans.

To be honest, if he would have embraced what Dolson originally setup, I think it could have worked but he didn’t even give it a chance because of his ego and arrogance, and here we are talking about him on a FIRE MIKE WOODSON thread, which is what he deserves instead getting to ride off into the sunset with his millions of dollars.

I think he needs to go, was a bad choice etc

I do think, however, that Dolson’s original setup was a horrible idea. You don’t hire a head coach with the caveat that he has to accept a specific assistant coach and a special advisor not hired/chosen by the head coach. It obviously shows that Dolson knew Woodson wasn’t prepared to be a college coach but regardless of the coach that setup was a terrible, terrible idea.

I just can’t believe we are seeing the day where Football has become the sport of IU…. I’m guess I’m not the only one that looks forward to football news to basketball now. I find the basketball team almost “boring.”

We arr alot farther imo from actually being a footballer school than alot realize. We need to fire woodson and build a winner ASAP. It's possible football can be great but we have a ton to prove. Imo it is highly like that may have been our 1 and only playoff appearance of our lives. Hopefully not but very likely. Basketball needs fixed

Same here.  FB is putting forth a serious and competent best effort to be good.  It’s wonderful to follow and worthy of support.  Of course we all wish we played a lot better at OSU and ND, but I’m not mad or upset because I know everyone in that program is competent and doing their best, and there will be ups and downs as they push to improve.

Are we putting further a serious and competent best effort on bball?  Lmao.  Not at all.

Well Cignetti knows our front line was too small and he just got a great quarterback and great running back so we might be in really good shape. A coach that has vision and knows how to recruit, I know, is not something we're accustomed to seeing anymore but we have one now in our FB team. Agreed we do have a lot to prove but I think we're well on our way to doing so. Next season will indeed be very telling.
