Gonzaga needs to win by 30+ to get the tank train rolling faster!

I won’t be watching but I’ll be rooting for this (after my preference for a win). If we’re gonna lose, get embarrassed.

In the era of NIL you have to be an exceptionally bad coach to be as terrible as we are with the amount of money we have invested. You can truly build whatever team you want. Get the right coach and system in here and I think we can turn it around quickly with the amount of money we can blow on a team. Hopefully dolson has built up a nice list the last two years so we don’t end up with Woodson part 2 when Brad turns us down again.

The key word is “system”, and MW doesn’t know or have a system he runs other than toss it inside, recruiting 5 star recruits that won’t commit/decommit or underachieve, or they can’t get over the hump!

Basketball gods in a cruel twist of fate throw a lifeline to Coach Woodson a lifeline with an opportunity to offset the loss today with Gonzaga. Good for the team this year but not sure in the long run this is beneficial…

He does, unfortunately said system from the 80s.

MW proves all the money in the world can't buy you a winner. It did for pete bell but he could coach. Look at wisconsin so far. Ranked top 15 they were supposed to stink and didn't really buy a team either.

That ship has sailed!  I don’t want to seem I a wanting us to lose, because I’m not, but it would be another nail in Woodson’s coffin!

If this was anyone other top program we wouldn't have to worry about that.  But this is IU.  Have to keep rooting for losses unfortunately.

Best scenario for all would be for Woody and Scott to negotiate a settlement and for Woody to then announce that this is his last season.  But his ego is far too big.  He's going with a security guard escort out of the building whenever he goes.

I sure would like to see the staff's game plan. It definitely exists, right?

They left it in 1993 with the nail slot rim defense that worked against teams that shot like 8 threes a game.

The IU staff hardly got of their arses in the last 10 mins of the game.
Hard to interpret this season as anything other than Mike fleecing the ol' alma mater for one more year.
The bridge from old to "new" IU?
Uhh... not so much.

Woody isn’t a bridge. He’s a pier. At the end of the pier you either fall in the water or turn around and end up where you started. Lol.

Social media test says to me Woodson has lost almost all support. This will get ugly soon. This is why you don't retain someone who unquestionably proved to be not good at coaching. Now we embark on another wasted season and likely the most toxic in iu basketball history. Sad

If it wasn’t for NIL this has program killer vibes. Ten years ago this type of season and the toxicity around the team and high school recruiting would have set us back years. Luckily, the free agent era is upon us and I fully believe we can be instantly better with a good hire. It’s a stupid bright side, but a bright side IMO.
