Hoosierfan2017 Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 The IU administration is so incompetent, including Dolson. Can’t even get a firing/retirement announcement right but we’re to believe they’ve got Stevens in the bag? T White, SlammySammy, IUGRAD06 and 1 other 2 1 1

I would like to think they have a clue in that office after Cignetti but makes one wonder..... The fact there is silence, instead of being reactionary, might be signaling they are taking a more professional approach. This latest turn is only a little over 24 hours old, and possibly complicated by a man who is cornered and reacting emotionally at whatever is happening. Lord you’re insufferable I don’t? I’ve seen several posts here in the past that have used Seth Davis’ proclamation of Stevens one day coaching IU as confirmation. Now all of the sudden his opinion doesn’t matter? Weird how that works.

Tell yourself that over and over and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. I still have no confidence in the admin and all the loopholes Scott Dolson has to jump through to do his job. They've proven to be incompetent beyond belief. Scott nailed it with Cignetti. IUFAN1976 Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 I thought there an official announcement. TheDailyHoosier stating: “IU publicizing Woodson departure now was the only choice”. And there were other articles. I read it that he’s contemplating retirement totally from basketball, but has left the door open to entertain offers, but that won’t be IU. I could be wrong but that is how I read it.

My only issue is...Then why not hold staff and team meetings after that has been finalized...they had to know there was a high likelihood this would be leaked and they'd have to address it if those meetings occurred before having all the details already ironed out. I'd never go to my larger team and let them know one of our managers is being fired/retiring/stepping away, without having all of those details ironed out first. BannerVille 1

iubb Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Again, if this was all bad reporting and he was going to return next year IU would have put out a statement stating as such.. That they have not done so tells me its true and there are still legal issues being worked out T White 1
