When we were all speculating about the mid-season announcement, I think people had 3 periods pegged from the start: 

• Before the Maryland game
• Before the Michigan game
• Before the West Coast trip right at the end of the regular season

Since we've lost 6 of our last 7 heading into the Michigan game, this would certainly be the right time to announce a retirement decision

Wasn’t there supposed to be an announcement earlier this week about a guy entering the portal who wants to play for IU regardless of who is the coach? Never happened.

Call me just a little leery about these so-called big announcements

That was just a Trilly prediction, meaning he heard they were planning to portal. Doesn't necessarily mean that they will get in the portal before the end of the season

Yeah not sure we want him behind a microphone for the rest of the season
