The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

Genuine question:

Does Woodson really think he's not on his way out? Can he really not see the writing on the wall?

Do Scott Dolson and the university admin really want to see the vitriol that will obviously be on display Saturday if Woodson shows up "business as usual" with no announcement of any kind?

I've stated several times that I'm fine with Woodson facing the music for his tenure here as coach... but is he really so guarded/entitled/egocentric that he doesn't see the inevitable outcome?

Truly hoping that what @Chris007 suggested might happen truly does come to pass... or it will be ugly.

That’s more wishful thinking. I don’t want anyone holding it against me. There are some whispers but not from anyone I trust.
So basically in the meantime we just gotta keep grinding man. Just go into the games with good intentions.

Listen to Bozich and Coyle from earlier today.  I really think he is that aloof.  He’s probably expecting a statue from Dolson and not a pink slip.

I have a feeling he could get over the hump Saturday. Michigan is OK but nothing great. Zero chance he wins in East Lansing. And yes I do think he wants a statue of himself. He lives in LA LA land.

Let this season die it’s slow death AH toxicity and all, and have the freedom he needs to conduct the search for Brad Stevens (or someone else I guess lol).

I’ve had the same thoughts. Let the people that forced Woodson to be retained own it to the point they are never again allowed to have influence over basketball decisions at IU.

Maybe, but not sure this makes sense for Stevens.

I don't think QB or Ferguson would really have the juice to get in the way of Brad Stevens if he actually wanted to come to IU. 

Now that makes sense to give Dolson more freedom to bring in other candidates, though. Especially lesser ones...
