Fire Coach Woodson Thread

We already know about the amount of golf he plays during portal season....if it's not laziness then it's arrogance thinking he doesn't have to put in the hours other coaches do in order to get players.

Yeah people can describe it however they want (they’d probably get mad about the word arrogant too), but him not putting in the hours other coaches put in can’t be disputed. He just doesn’t. And when you struggle recruiting and your team struggles on the court, you’re going to face a ton of heat for not putting in the work. This is a 365 day a year (366 this year!) job. Woodson’s not putting in 365 day a year effort. Which stinks. Archie sucked but I never got the sense he didn’t put in the hours.

Doubling down on being anti-discourse because AC is telling the “truth” - if you think otherwise you’re wrong so they’re just helping you understand with their almighty morality and wisdom

Terrible morning for them. Just lost a reader, probably more

They’re going to see the hard way, similar to that other poster on here that people don’t like being talked down to from supposed moral superiority. Gate keeping the descriptive adjectives we should be “allowed” to use is offensive. And I generally like AC.

Yep.  Looking back on it, many of us thought (hoped) Woody would be a guy that stabilized the program and got us back to being competitive.  Woodson said he was here to win championships.  You have to be a damn good "bridge" coach to do both in a half dozen seasons, and sadly CMW doesn't seem to fit that description.

Because he doesn’t put in the work!  It’s been stated he would rather play golf

Let’s just watch this game knowing we’re most likely to have a new coach next season. Hopefully will have more later. Trying to get some clarification on a good rumor.

Well it’s not lazy. He is out playing golf. It’s his priorities. See he isn’t lazy, he is doing things. IU basketball success is just low on his priority list. Lol

I would start with a good bourbon, but low proof on the rocks…..something like a Basil Hayden.  Work your way up to having a bourbon problem like me.  Life Goals!  HA!

By why? Why would someone who doesn’t like the taste waste time to acquire the taste? I appreciates others affinity to bourbon, it I’ll still with vodka and rum based cocktails for my beverages.

Jerod is definitely a safe space, words hurt so bad type. On their show I agree with his calmer approach, but with Ryan’s opinions. Tonsoni is a good listen as well.

Agreed. I really enjoy the show and generally think the analysis is fair, with all aspects covered between all the hosts. But miss me with the whole “not lazy” thing. It’s really just semantics. What are we supposed to call it if a big part of Woodson’s issue is that he isn’t putting in the extra mileage with recruits or the extra time needed for all the offensive woes, etc? Yeah, to me, thats the definition of lazy.
