Any updates on X? Was it precautionary or do we need to be on alert all week lol? Huge game Friday and Michigan is looking more and more winnable every time they step on the court.

After rewatching, I think it is just aggravating the previous ankle roll/sprain, possibly?

Seems like he could have issues all year which is not good.

As soon as he got in he lost his man, ran to double-team another guy, and left his guy for a wide-open 3 which of course he hit. I think the staff is losing its patience with this kind of stuff. I think it showed he wasn't ready to play.
He is not good not to play at this level. Remember he was archie recruit. Just saying

Due to Wares freshman year in Oregon I was a little skeptical reading some of the more optimistic posts about what he would do here but so far he has exceeded even the most optimistic posts.
We will see how he does against the rigors of the BT big men and style of play. I’m not saying he won’t succeed but just saying that what he faces on the court is about to change rather dramatically.

I worry about his production against big 10 caliber teams. Woody called him out after uconn game because he quit going inside and wasn't effective enough. Will be interesting to see if the physicality will have a negative effect on him. I know malik will not be able to complete half the shots he has been once big 10 play starts. Hope I am wrong

While watching, it was obvious that Gunn didn't play much, but did I miss something as to why? (I know the existing issues, but was something else up? Sick, injured?) D@mn I need to watch it again, things are still fuzzy for some reason.

There was a play in transition where 4/5 IU defenders had marked their man. Gunn did not and a Harvard player popped a 3 in Gunn’s face, except Gunn never looked at or saw his guy shooting - instead Gunn rotated to L wing to double(?). I mean literally shuffled right past Harvard player shooting a 3 and didn’t recognize it until after he shot. I wish I could find the clip. Every CBB program in country should play that film and say “this is what we will not tolerate”

Slight disagreement. I think he is good enough, but would say he's not 'ready to play' at this level, which is disappointing. What did he do in the off-season? He had a season of exposure to what it would take and.....there doesn't appear to be any discernable improvement. It's not reasonable to expect him to be a finished product the first month of his Soph season, but it is reasonable to expect progress. He has the tools but is missing something (drive, work ethic, BB IQ) and it clearly hasn't clicked yet.

Spazmanian Devil, imo.

I am not saying this is a reason, or defending his play of late, but for some the game never slows down for them. Gunn could be one of those that it may take a considerable amount of time for the game to come to him or it may never happen. I for one was happy to see that CMW yank him from last nights game and hope that the message was received. There were several examples in the previous games where he needed to be sat on the pine, but maybe the coaches were trying to see if he could play out of it. Who know?

Ginger Curry was his name LOL
I remember people saying the reason we were not at least it seemed doing all we could to land a portal two guard was cause guys like gunn were going to be ready to give big minutes. Clearly not the case and we are as thin as cn be at guard. If x is out we are in a world of hurt

This just crazy talk. What guard do we have better than X???
He is a very good player and all, but I've played with players similar to him. He tries to do everything. He's the big dog. But, he tries to do too much and be involved in everything that it just doesn't work. I like XJ. Just would rather he more of a role player. Offense runs better without him.
