It’s amazing.  It’s hard to adjust for an opponent hiding a heisman candidate on the bench for most of the year.

After so many decades of following IU football I should know better but…..I still can’t believe how bad our defense was against friggin Illinois. Non-existent coverage, poor tackling, little to no pressure on their QB, etc. Frustrating.

This.  It was one of the worst defensive efforts I’ve seen in years. 

Now, I remember some old Indiana teams that just plain couldn’t stop the run.  And teams would just steamroll us on the ground but today this was different, mostly because it was from a similar talented team.

 We can never have a good offense and defense at the same time. If we had a descent defense when ARE was here we would have been a very good team
