Here’s the deal. Alllll we fanatics on sites like this create the market. We sit here and consume it. The market  (of blogs and insiders and forums) will fill up to saturation. Same as recruits posting their top 10 or whatever, and some fanatics have the flippin audacity to vilify them for it in the same moment they consume the content. Like it or not your views are getting sold. You are the product, and you’re not some victim. You’ve personally created this dynamic. Just enjoy it without simultaneously acting like you’re above it.

Today there is way to many social media and bloggers out there wanting to be the first to report news. It doesn't even have to be factual anymore gor a post to go out. The media use to have 3 confirmed sources before the could put out the news.  Now a blogger can put something out there as fact but it is just his opinion. 

It is a sad day when people are trying to see who a recruit is following on social media to figure out where he is going to commit.  It is just like trying to chart planes in coaching searches 

At this point, I have no idea why you go on message boards.  You certainly don't like listening to people share information.

I like the information to be factual. Going off tweets from guys who are no more of an insider than you and me are is what is a waste.  I am not on Twitter but see it on here and people are taking it is a fact.

why does everyone have to discount it? Just don’t read it and move on.

Not talking about posters on here but the bloggers  and guys trying to say they have inside info.  I see it on pro sports where it comes as trade rumors but it is just click bait. It is just their idea of what would be a good trade but not actually a real rumor.

Where did I say that. I like talking with others on here about basketball. What I don't like are guys on social media putting things out their as facts but it is just their opinion . If it comes from actual college basketball reporters who you know are around the sport then it is more reliable.

Ledlum visiting St. John's will be interesting....because right now Pitino has basically driven everyone out looking to male an immediate impact by getting portal guys but he hasn't landed a single player.  Both guards he had at Iona visited -- his point guard at Iona -- Walter Clayton Jr -- then chose Florida over St. John's. Danniss Jones didn't commit when he visited. EVERY SINGLE ONE of Iona's players entered the portal and so far none have joined Pitino at St. John's.  Right now Pitino only has retained three of St. John's former players -- Joel Soriano and two guys that totaled 43 minutes last year.  All three incoming freshman have decommited.  I do not think this is going to be the turnaround Pitino envisioned......Slick Rick was able to offer money to guys under the table before, now everyone can do it on top of the table and St. John's doesn't have the kind of money of facilities that are likely to draw the players he wants.

Ledlum calls Brooklyn home and he could go to St. John's and score quite a bit because at this point I don't know who else is going to score for them....but that first Pitino St. John's team right now has the potential to be really, really bad.

The staff wants him so I hope we land him. If not, there will be someone else. I kinda enjoy different people bringing their opinions and then backing them up with the evidence they have. If they end up being wrong, so what. The process was fun. If it wasn't interesting and fun, I would be doing something else.

We're "relatively" close to signing the first ever interstellar recruit. We believe they're demanding more in NIL but really not sure that's what is being requested. It's possible we find out on a Tuesday. More updates to come.

Maybe word is out Banks is turning into the super long/athletic wing that CMW recruited him for, causing Ledlum to think twice.lol

Although a 5 of X, Knecht, Banks, Ware, and Malik sounds long and athletic. Trey, Sparks, CJ, Catchings and a little of Gabe and Jakai sprinkled in.
