Seems like Neither Archie nor Woodson can recruit or want to recruit shooters. Crean had shooters at least.

I’m sorry but Race needs to ride the bench! He seemed totally checked out recently, not sure if it’s due to Reneau or what but he didn’t seem like he was even in this universe for this game. I think some are underestimating the effect of having JHS. X seemed like he needed to be the guy again today and he didn’t have it today. Yes JHS hasn’t been a juggernaut in the points column but I think his presence seems to keep X in the right state of mind on the court. Oh well on to the next one.

At some point, a coach or coach is just gonna have to come out and say how god awful the officiating in the conference is. It's absolutely pathetic. Guarantee against Nebraska, it'll be ticky tack fouls all game.

The poster I was responding to was referencing the ‘quality shots’ stat from last year, so that’s what I was talking about. Before today we’ve had 2 games against good teams. TJD and Xavier had 53 of our 81 points against Xavier and 41 of our 77 against UNC. We’re overly reliant on them because we don’t really have good options outside of them, and Xavier is too inconsistent to rely on. He has great games about half the time, duds like today the other half. When Trayce isn’t otherworldly the offense looks very pedestrian.

Crean also had a guy switch shooting hands in between seasons and never found a point forward he didn't like. Really want to go back to that?

Unfortunately another game where if he isn't getting post feeds early on, he starts to disengage. Really hoped he was beyond that by now.

JHS is great but he’s not a shooter. Never has been. Gunn committed when Archie was the coach and isn’t good enough to play right now.

Yah I'm there too. If there is one guy on the team I'm even kind of down on rn, its Race. Could still turn it around, hope he does

Thing is, we should easily be able to survive giving up 63 on the road. We should never be scoring 48. That was so Archie of us.

I'm more disappointed in that the three other bigs gave us zip.  2 points between Reneau, Thompson, and Geronimo.  TJD most definitely didn't have a good offensive game at all, but Got Omuryi in foul trouble and TJD defended the middle well.  Race and JG gave up drive bys and I think Reneau must have punched some ref's kid the way he gets called for fouls.

Coming in, I thought he was doing a good job of accepting his role with decreased touches.  But he HAS to stop shooting perimeter shots.  Today, though, he added nothing of any value.
