Correct.

But in saying that, Boogie is supposedly in decision mode and not taking visits....without knowing if Johnson will reclassify or not, would that change anything in the recruitment of him from UK standpoint. It's not looking like Cal will know whether Johnson reclassisies before Boogie commits somewhere.

I think that it was expressed to him a few weeks ago what UK really wanted to happen with Johnson to reclassify. Hopefully, that was one of the things that helped him lean are way.

Talked with my friend yesterday who is very close to woody. I tried to prod him about whether we were going to have a big recruiting week.  He responded with Liam and exclamations but when I asked about boogie he said he had not heard anything but also said he hasn’t talked with woody in a few weeks.

certainly a close contact but he admitted he did not really ask about recruiting status much.

Usually, when people are around him they tend to talk about other things than recruiting. My son was around him at the golf course all summer long and not sure basketball was ever discussed. They talked golf, they talked life, they talk a lot of things but not basketball.

UK's pro day is today so it's not Cal. At most an assistant or it may have nothing to do with Boogie.

This is the answer you give when you’re being advised by 1 of the all-time alpha scorers.

Excellent interview!

Both the reporter and Boogie Fland are super-personable. Boogie will be an awesome kid to root for no matter where he plays (yes - even if he's at UK ... he's clearly a quality young guy).

Have fun with this. Beasmore is a writer for 2 UK sites. While I don’t think Boogie to IU is a lock in any way, it seems there may not be much confidence coming out of the UK side. Liam liking the video interview of Boogie this morning was good to see. While it may not mean anything, Liam seems to be posting more Boogie content here lately on Twitter and Instagram. I’d put IU ahead here 60/40 and love our chances.

I think it’s become pretty clear that Liam is trying to get Boogie to join him. I also think Boogie is aware that Johnson has been UK’s primary target. Will IU land him? I’m not sure yet but I do believe IU is in a very good spot.

I have no inside info, but if a UK guy thinks he's an IU lock and Calipari won't be allowed to visit him, it seems like our chances may be higher than 60%.

Probably doesn’t matter because it really doesn’t feel like Bama is the play for Fland, but fwiw, Richardson is looking to play with the ball. So if he chooses Bama they’re almost certainly out on Fland.
