It's like #4 was avoided at all costs between '52 and '87 lol. Chris Rowles is the only one I didn't recognize from my years ('71 and on)

It appears he sat out last year with a shoulder injury and will still be a freshman.  Also, you would think it would be harder to transfer from a military school because you have to stay committed for so many years.

Air Force guard Jordan Rayford was on campus.  Not sure what to make of that.  Guard depth I guess.  Not much info out there.

That’s really interesting.

Not a one year portal rental; Rayford is a redshirt freshman with four years of eligibility. Sat out all of last year with shoulder surgery. Optimum guard size. Complete culture plus; super high academics and leadership qualities.

Rayfors’s high school highlights show court vision, athleticism, size, and a super-sized weird hitch in his jump shot.

A little more extended clip. Great frame. Present athleticism. The shot definitely has some funk. The handle is high and loose. I guess we’ll see.

IMO Newton is not going to play at all this season or if he's medically cleared, it will be very limited minutes.  We struck out on a few portal transfer guards and now we're shopping at Costco for guard depth as you stated.   As Stu pointed out, he'd have 4-years of eligibility although we all know that with the portal as it is, it's not terribly difficult to ease a player out.

This is likely Leal's final year (I doubt he uses his 5th season of eligibility) so it looks like Woodson is trying to bring in his replacement a year early.

I'm extremely concerned about Newton after reading what his actual injury was. The recovery process sounded complicated with no timeline for returning to playing. I guess we'll see, but I'm worried about the long term prognosis. After reading your Costco comment, what's next Wal-Mart?
