I am worried about all the miss time with this years team.

If Coach Woody ends up hauling them in, I don’t think the team will mind a bit. It sort of reminds me of back in the old days, going hunting and bringing in meat for the winter to feed the family..lol

I believe that since it offseason, you can only practice so many hours per week and therefore the players have at least 1 day a week off from practice. That is when Woody and the staff travel. The player i believe could still lift or shoot around, but think there is a limit on scheduled practices with staff. Again, i believe i read that somewhere, so if i am wrong, dont shoot the messenger

Used to the NCAA-mandated teams had to give an off day, even in-season, once per week. Not sure if that is still a rule.

Games are underway in Vegas.  If you don't already know, the Florida Eagles is the Montverde Academy team playing under a club name.  Prolific Prep playing under its own name and features A.J.  Dybansta, Ty Stokes, Derrion Reid, Aiden Sherrill and Mikey Lewis.  Playing under a club name means the outcome of this weekends games won't be considered a part of MVA's regular season record and are essentially pre-season games for MVA.

My goodness this team is LOADED. Flagg will be the #1 pick in 2025. Newell looks like a lottery pick. Wright and Givens will be very solid college point guards.

This game makes me want Derik Queen more. I think he is going to be a double-double machine. He is more athletic than I thought. I think he could be an All-American big man in college if he sticks around more than a year.

Liam is going to be the best shooter this program has had since James Blackmon. I see Liam as a 15 PPG, 5 Rebound, 2 assist kind of player. Lacks a little bit on defense. I'll be honest, I don't see one and done with him which is just fine with me. However, both Liam and Derik are going to be terrific college basketball players. We will be very fortunate to get one if not both of them.

Disclaimer:  I've never watched Liam play

The box score shows he went 2-7 shooting last night.  What are his career numbers?

I think 38% on 5 threes a game. He did not have his best game last night. He has a really good shot. I feel like he doesn't rush his shots either.

We have not seen MM play yet.  Everyone raves about his shooting ability!
