I was going to say something similar. Stewart was really bad on offense but I’m sure he stayed in for his D. He made Maldonado (which is Spanish for “I fall down when I shoot a three”) really work for what he could get on offense.

Is there any reason why the NCAA couldn't have us playing the late game in Portland on Thursday? 

UCLA-Akron doesn't necessarily have to be the second game (or fourth overall), does it? 

Just seems as if they're putting us at a disadvantage when they don't have to ...

Saint Mary beat Gonzaga so give them credit. It will be a battle I hope more than two players have a good game. Not knocking anyone but we will have to be better to win than we were tonight.

While I'm not really either, this win was satisfying and I'm already sold on the building for the future. We made the tourney in Woodson's first season after not seeing it since Crean. This is a good night.

We need to get smarter. If you're good with our team making dumb play after dumb play good for you. That severely limits our ceiling though.

The NCAA should have had the Dayton games at 1:00 and 3:30.  We would have already landed in Portland. 
 

EDIT. of cour$e the NC$$ would not have afternoon games even though it$ all about the student$$$ athlete$$$

They do.  But their offensive offensive is worse than Wyoming's.  They'll play very slow.  Don't shoot a lot of threes.  Great free throw shooting team but hardly get there....only getting 13 and a half free throws per game.

Either send the 1st 4 winners to places a little closer to Dayton or have a Wednesday 1st 4 site further west and have the Dayton winners on Tuesday go to the East and Midwest and the new site send winners to the South and West

LIttle surprised, I would have think they would have been about a point favorite.

FWIW, Sagarin has St. Mary's by 1.
