It’s a problem, IMO, if it’s considered a good game for him and he scored 5 points in 35 minutes.  He played better defense than normal but shooters who aren’t shooting the ball is no bueno.

Parker also had five rebounds, three assists, and two steals (and two turnovers). He played well on offense without many shots.

I still think the better on-ball defensive game was largely a product of guarding Loewe, a guard who never goes to the rim.

He looked so uncomfortable in the first half on the other block. Seemed like it was fairly early in the game. Opponents have definitely figured him out imo. His last 11 games he’s averaging 13 ppg 7.8 rpg and a little more than 2 apg. I’m starting to wonder if it’s not on the player? At some point you have got to want to get better and work on your game. You know, really put in the extra time.

We used to hear all the time that some of the guys were working on their individual game by staying extra time in the practice facility over the summer. And seems we haven’t heard that in a long time now. If they have, I’ve certainly missed it.

Yes, he’s not played like a preseason All-American IMO.  To me, he’s played more of a role not the lead.  If this was last year, we would be talking about a 7 game losing streak but this team has discovered other options.

I agree, at some point in time it has to start being on the players to improve and if Trayce is working on his game going right, hitting mid range jumpers and working on free throws I sure as heck don’t see translate to his game.

Didn't realize the weird college career Payton Willis has had.

Played two years at Vandy.
Transferred to Minny for two years. Redshirted a year. Played a year.
Transferred to College of Charleston. Played a year.
Transferred back to Minny for this, his final season. It's his sixth year of college.

Wonder if Armaan Franklin or Clifton Moore will come back to IU next year? LOL!

Sounds like he prefers to play on stupid courts (vandy & minny)...

Senior night as well.  Hope that doesn't mean that Durr gets unearned minutes.

Likely because RMK didn’t play seniors only because they were seniors.

Beilein gave two little-used seniors six minutes, combined, in the 2013 IU @ UM game the Hoosiers won by 1 to clinch the title and deny UM a share.

Road wins are hard to come by.

They hit some really hard contested shots

I would have called timeout, but it didn't help that the officials weren't calling anything so the TV timeout didn't come.

Beat Rutgers and I like our chances. We're 1-0 with me not drinking for March Madness

SIAP but I just watched the last 8:02 again.

We had 6 turnovers in that time and MN hit 8 three's (I might be off by 1). Had 14 three's for the game.

We played defense during that time, but not nearly as intense as the 32 minutes before that.

Gotta get a lot better. But glad for the win.

Yeah, it seemed like we forced it to TJD, which they had stopped doubling and either fumbled it, kicked it around, or committed a foul. IMO he's just not a finisher. I would go to Race at the end of games, he makes better decisions or just leave it in X's hands.

Athletic department, SAB, Crimson Guard, The Dorks, *everyone* needs to market that game like it’s the Purdue game. Most important home game in a long while.

Circling back to this...tickets have been purchased for Wednesday. Let's do it.

I’m guessing more coaches will start to see that you can probably play him straight up without help and be in better position then doubling him.  They can always bring a double if he starts going back off but for now if I’m an opposing coach I’m playing him straight up to start the game.

Through 18 Big Ten games, Indiana has the best defense in the conference at 1.003 points per possession allowed.  Hoosiers are 11th offensively at 1.008 points per possession.

It's like the inverse of the Crean teams, lol.

I'm betting our O is a lot better next season, but man it needs to be, with wing play, p&r with guard play, inside-out and significantly increased outside shooting, yesterday looked like the kind of balanced game we'll need

TJD gets a lot of criticism for what he cannot do and we just take for granted what he can. I know that some of it is a result of how high the expectations for him were and the hype that CMW was going to transform his game. To me, TJD has been a great representative for the program and handled the pressure very well. I appreciate everything he has done here and will miss him whenever he moves on.

It was the same with Yogi and Romeo. Same guys want more minutes for players that aren’t very talented.

Backup QB syndrome. People sometimes think the player who hasn't screwed things up on camera much is a better choice.

It makes for good discussion but ultimately the coaches see what's what the most. If the coaches get it wrong, the win/loss column reflects their bad decisions.

I can still see Jordan Morgan's shot rolling on the rim.
