Woody took a big chance tonight. High risk/high reward. Taking this L either gets the 5 nimrods right and the team rallies around it, or it splits the locker room and we take a dump the rest of the season. He’s been around this and been doing this for a long time, so I have faith that things will work out this season and going forward.

If things don’t work out this season or going forward, though, I can promise no one will give a flying f*** who was “right” about it.

I’ve officially reached the fast forward time of the season. Why do I continue to do this to myself? We suck again, officially.

And predictable late season slide with missed tournament, here we go again.

Rebuild, new coach, burn it all down time again. Lol.

Well let's keep some faith that Woodson can get this turned around enough to get in this year. No chance he is getting fired yet

How many years are you going to hate IU basketball but still “root for them”?Woodson disciplines some players & their best player doesn’t step up and you want the coach fired.

So now not supporting a coach means i hate the team?

Supporting coaches regardless of results is why repeatedly got us in this mess

I don’t care who is suspended.  5 bench players should score more than 21 points in a half against Northwestern.

TJD needs to leave because he’s not good enough to get the attention he does if he can’t dominate Northwestern.

Kenya was invested tonight because he had the scout and all the players suspended were mostly his. I’m proud of how we played besides TJD & Kopp.

I thought Kopp played well. 6 rebounds and zero turnovers in about 35 minutes. He took mostly good shots. Almost nothing went in.

No chance he gets fired but this year will start the cycle he can’t dig out of.  Kinda like Archie missing Romeo’s year

Have you been watching him for the past month? Honest question. IMO he's regressed since December.

He’s played bigger players the pass month vs teams with better talent in general.  He’s not going to be on an active NBA roster next year but he’ll be a pretty good post player in the G-League.

His defense has gotten much better and he’s way more athletic compared to earlier years. He’s ready for the GLeague.

Cool.  You take 0 or 1 wins, I'll take 3 or more.  2 is a push.  Who should hold the money for the bet?

I'm just gonna watch and laugh as this roster implodes because no one ever wants to step up and take over. Because our veteran coach doesn't want to change. Because we still have a garbage offense that isn't free flowing by any stretch of imagination. Finished 7-12 last season. Good chance 8-12 this season.

What do you consider ‘working out?’

Go back and read the posts.  It was flat out stated here.

I stated it but my frustration with TJD spans way further than just tonight! You can go back to the beginning of the thread and see I was commenting even before the game. He is a candidate for all American and has not been playing like it.

I have Race transferring and TJD going to the GLeague.

Next years roster will be YOUNG! I hope Jordan is ready for a bigger role lol

Making the tournament this year/literally just not getting fired going forward, because that’d be quite the win for this program.

He gives green beans I guess but he’s a liability on defense and he’s expected to provide offense which has to be the reason Woodson still gives him that starting role. On a night like tonight him not providing that offense is even more glaring. You can effect the game outside the box score sure I just can’t say he did that

Lol apparently the e word changes to green beans. I’ve been wondering what that was about all night

Woodson is BY FAR the best piece on this team. I get frustrated at times but he’s doing the most with what he has. We cannot say the same about the last 2 guys. This roster is very poorly constructed. We need to make a big big splash in the portal this year. I’m bullish on Jalen Hood Schifino. I think he’s gonna be a stud but we need so much that I’m worried we are looking at a 2-3 year build before we are competitive in the conference. A lot can happen in a short time but we aren’t accustomed to that kind of turnaround as IU fans.

I’m going to go throw darts at my Brad Stevens poster now.

Side note: again, I hate recruiting rankings anymore but I’m extremely concerned Duncomb didn’t even see the floor tonight. That is not good. I didn’t expect too much of him this year but considering the circumstances I felt he would’ve gave IU 10 decent minutes tonight.

I never really saw it with him to begin with. I imagine he’s a transfer portal kid along with several others.

The student section has already declared him the next Priller so that isn’t good either.
