I a pragmatic realist.  Unfortunately because IU basketball has been such a disappointment for so long that has a lot of overlap with pessimism.
Then that's not realistic it's pessimism. You literally just made it black and white. Dude I was with you for 4 years....start having fun again while it's still here to be had.

Environment sounded rocking…what was attendance?

Really good environment.  Place was packed but not a sellout.  Missed being in that kind environment.   It’s good to get out of the college basketball cave every once in a while.    6 am is going to come awful early tomorrow

Yeah I just feel like our continued inability to hit Frees and threes will hurt us in the big ten.  Much as it has the previous 4 years.

Yeah I’ll take tonight’s outcome over, say, Michigan losing at home last night. Both teams learn something but one gets to say they beat a good non-conference team.

Would like to see Geronimo alongside Kopp at the 3/4 in some lineups. Kopp has trouble staying in front of dribblers, playing him with JG would make it easier to hide Kopp on a slower 4 while JG takes the wing.

Geronimo- 7 points 5 boards in 8 min, and immediately changed the energy. Absolutely should play more. And that’s my only real criticism of tonight’s game —

St J should be a tourney team, we hung on for the W, and end of the day that’s what matters, but some guys are showing they should play more, and i would hope that happens. Bates is the real deal too, and is only going to get better

Your the one making making it black and white. preaching blind optimism and anything that isn’t that must be pessimism.

Good teams get a 14 point lead and hold on the rest of the game. They don’t have to stress that they are going to lose at the buzzer. At home no less.

Good teams can  hit FTs

Good teams don’t let their opponents score 46 points in the second half.

This team looks way too similar to an Archie Miller team.  Maybe they will have different results but when you play the same way it doesn’t bode well

I actually think Woody sees it as we do and JG will be getting more minutes going forward. It's odd because I watch him and he doesn't look versatile but he is. Anyone else watch him and think he looks stiff until the moment he needs to not be? It's probably just a me thing but I watch him and think stiff until he does what he does. He is a championship caliber player in many rotations.

No dog in this fight but we all know bball is a game of runs and half-time adjustments, good teams give up large half time leads all the time, and the team we played tonight is good — good and well coached.

We definitely need to address the guard production, our free throw shooting continues to need work, but we’re a good team. Not a champ contender of course but yeah, we’re solid. Woody needs to give sone guys more PT though, they’re earning it where sone guys aren’t. Geronimo is nasty

I remember Kelvin Sampson's first few games. We let an inferior mid-major hang around for 3/4 of the game and then Butler beat us. Then, we nearly blew a 20 point lead at home to Indiana State. There was a ton of hand-wringing about how the team still looked like a Mike Davis team. Sampson had those guys playing pretty well by January.

It looks like an Archie Miller team because Archie Miller recruited most of these guys. It's a roster of players who don't shoot the ball well, from the field or the stripe, and spent the last few seasons having a vampire sucking all their confidence and enjoyment of the game out of them. I trust Woodson to fix these issues, but it won't happen in 3 games.

I just can't believe that three games into his tenure, Woodson has failed to win a national championship.  Pitchforks!  FireMikeWoodson.com!
