But it is true that Archie Miller's coaching record pre-IU is better than Moser's currently. Moser has had two tournament teams in 18 seasons. The 'if he makes another final four this year' is a loooonnngggg way away. lillurk and NVFalcons1990 1 1 Quote

cthomas Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Admittedly, I don't know much about most of the current candidates. That said, I really liked the comments Beard made about his team and playing in the Hall. Seems like that might work. Then it would be on us to make him want to stay. 8bucks 1 Quote

Agreed, and if the opposition is to transfers you’re really gonna handicap the next coach, whoever it is. Beard has done nicely with transfers, too. Believe 2 starters on his national runner up were transfers, and one of his best players this year, too Quote

I hadn't heard that about Archie. Actually heard the opposite. That Archie was realistic and no nonsense. The used car salesman or snake oil salesman talk was about Crean. Not that he lied. Just that he did hype a lot and was more than flamboyant. And he was all over the place in his delivery. Edited March 20, 2021 by Dave from Dayton Quote
ib4iu Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Let’s just hire a staff of Pitino, Beilein, Matta, and Alford. All of them just titled coach. Everyone can be happy and mad at the same time lol BGleas, 8bucks, MemphisHoosier and 2 others 1 4 Quote

Simply not true. Quote

Nor should he. So if JB truly is the "backup plan" to Beard, I think Scott may end up moving farther down whatever list he's actually using--unless Dolson & the donors are OK with the specter of Patrick Beilein becoming IU's head BB coach around 2025 or so. Which IMO would be reckless. MemphisHoosier and Dave from Dayton 2 Quote
