It's more than just money.  Drake has 3 losses...30-3...and got an 11 seed.  That's gotta be frustrating to him.  He knows Drake has a ceiling that IU does not.  Postseason success is limited at Drake.  It's time to jump.  The money is secondary

Curry Hicks on X also has said that credible sources have told him it’s done and IU has someone signed.

My guess? It’s not DeVries. I don’t think that smoke came out of nowhere. I think it was targeted. He just met with Iowa today and walked away without a contract. I believe his agent started linking his name to the IU job in order to induce Iowa to piss or get off the pot and up their offer to him.

I’ll also add: if this signing was made today or very recently, I highly doubt it’s someone currently coaching in the tournament. Which leads me to believe it isn’t a current college coach. Which leads me to a few names: Brad Stevens, Jay Wright, Tony Bennett, and Billy Donovan. I only find Stevens and Donovan to be particularly likely of those two.

I could be dead wrong. Just sharing my theories. Carry on.

I think not only if it was just signed, but the leaks that are coming out now around it.

Could be DeVries too, to be fair.

Maybe it shakes out differently, but some of those coaches are gonna learn what it means to be a football school. 

Maybe he'll take the IU job when we're doing this again in 4 years. lol

I haven't seen Wade's teams, but is Wade that good?
