Which is why I don’t think it will be either of them. Each time we've hired a coach, there's been little to no buzz about it anywhere until right before they were announced. For the Woody hire, about three days before the hire [mention=1559]8bucks[/mention], a wonderful poster who never gets over his skis, had the hire nailed -- through Woodson family acquaintances I believe. He told me but didn't want the attribution or grief on the open board so I posted that the info came from a credible, anonymous source about three days before Woody was announced. There was a meltdown and a "how do YOU know more than the insiders" string of pushback, as there should have been. And then it happened. For Cig, if I remember correctly his name wasn't really mentioned until a day or two before he was announced. When his name was suddenly thrown into the mix [mention=6234]Lebowski[/mention] started singing the praises really strongly, and pretty much everybody was then was a fan of his take (because he knows more football than many of us ever will). A day or two after the board had it as a strong possibility, the announcement came. Wait...so credible information comes from people on this board and it's not just reserved for the media figure heads? Weird... thebigweave 1
