A few days ago twice I tagged @RoadToZion with a post specifically asking if his “it’s Brad” posts refer to Stevens or Brownell.

He's been on the board since then but has not answered.

While I don’t know how strong Road to Zion’s  source is, at this point I am pretty confident that he is flat out predicting that Brad Brownell with be the next coach of the Hoosiers.

People have been saying for a while the leaks would start coming soon. But then when they don't like the nature of the leaks, they don't want to believe it.

I get what you are saying but watch the primary action of drake. It's usually solid but lacks the athletes to get the shot they want. The awesome part? Their secondary and tertiary action is as solid as their primary. CW doesn’t seem to have a plan when the first action falls apart.  It's gotten better this last couple weeks but it's never been great imho.

You’re sure, huh?  Ok.  It won’t be Goodman softening the blow, it’ll be IU people leaking to let the outrage pass before the official announcement.

The silence from some of the insiders on BTB is deafening. Everyone just needs to chill.

I know one thing for certain from my sources - they have been told directly not to give information directly to the press. Do not give quotes to any press unless your name is Scott Dolson was the directive. I know little else (none seem worried) but I was told that.

I will say this…

Brownell is a good coach.  Would be interesting to see what he can do with talent.  He is very well liked in Indiana by the AAU coaches.  His problem has always been the resources to get said talent.  

McCollum….selfishly this is where I hope we go.  

There are a ton of other good coaches out there after these two.

Who are the insiders, & have they proven to have valid inside info?  Were you here 4 years ago when the same group of posters was claiming it would be BS?

I like reading the rumors & such, but not sure the insiders here have been right at calling any big news, but maybe I’ve just missed it.  I’d LOVE to be proven wrong, but I’ll bet dollars to dimes we’re not getting a tier 1 guy….maybe not even tier 2.

I think if we are getting anyone other than a big name, all of us will be watching very closely this time……I would throw the kitchen sink at McCollum and gamble away….whats another four years of mediocrity? We’re used to it now and if we find out we are no longer wanted by the big names, then so be it…..someone punch Fred Glass and Quinn Buckner in the face

His D2 teams were always among the slowest pace teams in D2 for the full season. He doesn't believe in fast breaks. They are just highly efficient in scoring.

None of our candidates are sure things and we need to stop thinking about candidate risk as all or nothing. 
 
Of course he's not a sure thing. Neither is Beard, even on the court. Nor would Dusty May be. 
If we think anything less than hiring a guaranteed success as a head coach is a failure then I don't think we're reading the coaching market (or college basketball in general) correctly. 

He is the next john wooden. Mccollum is a sure thing no doubt. Give him 12 million a yearn
