As I said once before, I get my hopes up reading everything and listening to all the possibilities which is fun and then we get blindsided with a coach out of nowhere like Woodson.  I am getting too old for this and would love to see them relevant again before I can no longer watch and enjoy the game.

My opinion, yes, even as an assistant. He had his time and will be a great tv analyst. But there’s no reason to bring back the past. Hundreds of quality coaches who can do what he did

I perused my favorite UM forum to try and get sense for how they feel, and the general consensus is if DM wants to go to IU there is nothing their AD can do about it.

They also have gone on and on about their current AD being fairly slow to act in other situations like this in sports not named football. They seem to have a sane opinion about it based on their Harbaugh experience and a coach going home. That said, they think almost to a person that our job is decidedly mid, and if it were not for his ties we would have no shot. They also think we ended up with Woody because we couldn't get anyone better lol, so take that with a giant helping of salt.

So I have a theory and I’m not much of a smoke screen guy,  but what if DOLSON said we’ve got our guy because he wanted people to think it’s Brad Stevens so that Dusty and IU can work behind the scenes until the time is right?

If that were true there never would have been a Goodman statement on Feb 14th with a long way to go in the season

We need something to happen today to get us another bunch of pages to keep our goal of 2000 going. So we need someone to name someone crazy or say something that gets people. I feel like we are still 2-3 weeks before were even close to getting some real intel.

You want to talk about a coach who took a bunch of college players who had never played together and beat the best hockey team in the world. I always thought that was for the gold until my dad told me it wasn't but wow if that had been for the gold medal.
