I imagine his ending with the university has left a sour taste in his mouth.

Now was it because of Woody? absolutely.

Big question would be does he come back if Dusty does get the job because he almost thought about going to UM.

If you are an athletic Director with one shot to bring back national relevancy to a blue blood program, I doubt he is in your top five or six. Would you be willing to bet millions of dollars in your salary on him?

Louisville and Kentucky had to go down a level to get their coaches. We have to be prepared to do the same if everybody else says no.

Who is feeling sorry for him?  Seems everyone on here is pretty much in a agreement that he stunk as a head coach and needed to go
He is feeling sorry for himself and probably his buddies he summoned to practice. Point is the smear campaign on fife wasn't necessary and karma often strikes back in the end.

He said you have to call him but nothing about if he would take it

My thing is if all of this stuff is happening with Stevens then why has none of the national media caught wind of it. You would think a Rothstein or Goodman would be all over it.

Because they need an actual source to give them the scoop. They'd get laughed out of the profession if their source was "IU fans talking about it on message boards."

Mmm… I wonder who all the pro-Woody burners get their info from…

My money would be on one of Woodson, Buckner, Ferguson or Zeke.

That is my point that a lot this Stevens stuff is just message board rumors and nothing more

It's perfectly fine that Fife was let go. It was a bad matchup with Woodson and it was pretty obvious from the start it wasn't going to work out with those 2. But the smear campaign was complete bs. I don't blame it all on Woodson. It was an another assistant that was likely the one feeding Rabjohns the bs for his article. There is at least one guy, probably more, on that staff that has no morals.

fixed that...

Yesterday was first and goal from the 2. Today 2nd and goal from the 2 (not inside info just a joke how every day that passes without a yes makes me nervous )

I thought the date was 2/26 so why would each day be significant

To play devils advocate to the devils advocate, do you really think if someone was meeting someone under this circumstance they would just not have any communication for a week?  That’s how you get Liam to decommit. Each day proved to be significant, no?  Not just the commit day and decommit day.  Things happen you aren’t aware of shockingly.

If we miss out on stevens I predict Cronin as the next coach. I think the my ship has sailed

Yes, the Stevens stuff is message board rumors.  But, some of these rumors have truth in them.  Once again, this is the point of message boards -- to get early information even if it isn't perfect.  If that isn't your thing, just read the IndyStar or Herald-Times for the confirmed and final version of the story.

Exactly.  I haven’t heard as much as others on Stevens.  Would probably maul my first born for a chance at Brad Stevens.  But if you aren’t entertained by it, why are you here?  This is every coaching search of the last 25 years.

And that right there is where the rubber meets the road.  But here is a question for you:  Would we be a blue blood program without taking a chance on RMK?
