Don’t think St Johns has the shooting to string together enough to make a run if they make it past the first weekend however only few coaches  like Pitino could have them in this position when they can’t throw it in the ocean

Houston 19-1 in Big 12 and undefeated on the road...Much like Wade's record of 40-2 in conference...incredible. Kansas has been replaced as the premier basketball school in the Big 12...with limited NIL resources in comparison.

Sampson is 34-4 in the B12 since Houston came over. Many doubted Houston being an American conference member. His run the last 7-8 seasons at Houston is remarkable.

Woodson allegedly saying the threats were the reason that he was forced to retire at this point, a month after the announcement came out, and after having said last week that he may have left "too soon" reeks of spin.

If these now reported "threats" were real, they need to be investigated and the person responsible held accountable. But it all seems inconsistent and way to convenient at this point.

The bottom line is that he was fired because he can't/won't do the job... and was given the courtesy by Dolson to "spin" the dismissal into a "retirement" and now he's trying to walk back the retirement never was.
