yeah,....They way they often showed her parents, they were always sitting seperately. I assumed they were not together. jmo. lol

He didn't; he was at high majors, including Bama for extended time as an assistant.

When Cig became a head coach he rose up through multiple levels pretty quickly.

watching this girls game is so much fun.  Enjoy how hard they play and how Moren coaches.  So hoping to be able to enjoy the mens team like this again soon!

Cignetti started late but atleast kept moving up the ladder.  He wasn't at a d2 school for 14 years, 1 year at a low d1, then takeover notre dame.  People trying to capture that hire in a bottle by thinking every successful coach at the lower level will automatically succeed at the high major level is fooling themselves.

I would have loved to read the opinions on Cignetti before he was hired.

First off that was football so if it failed no big deal. Second just because it worked out in one case doesn't mean it will in another. Cig did not really have any pressure the bbsl job will be tremendous pressure from day one. This won't be a give them four years the get their guys. They will need to win and win fast.

Going from successful d2 years to a lower d1 and moving up is different than spending 14years at d1, 1 year at drake and then taking over Indiana.

Football is by far the biggest college sport and drives the financial results for the entire athletic dept.  Basketball barely moves the needle despite IU really liking basketball.  The football hire and how they perform is a very big deal for IU.

Again...to hire someone like this over a Chris Beard (who wants the job) or a Scott Drew, makes little sense. If Stevens fall through...fork in the road...which way are we going to choose. Time will tell. I trust Dolson to make the right decision.
