Rabjohns posted some updates on  some rumors he as heard and his reactions to them 

1) Chris beard is moving towards being a legitimate candidate. he thinks it’s possible but doesn’t want to go any further 

2 ) Stevens is locked up 6 years 62 million . He’s doesn’t believe it 

3) an Anonymous coach as been locked up at 6 years 65 million . Says he doesn’t believe any coach beside Stevens would get 10 million a year out of IU 

4) Brownell is still in the mix . He’s thinks that’s true 

5 ) the former athlete committee has been told the job has been filled . He doesn’t think that’s true and says he’s never heard of it before .

I’ll be first to acknowledge Beard would win games but I really just don’t see IU hiring him.

Wanted to add that on peegs they’re phrasing it as “beard is a possibility” with is not an absolute.

There will be social pressure and money pressure.  You haven’t seen crap yet.  Bloomington is a different beast than the rest of Southern Indiana and this won’t fly.  

It's not Bloomington university. It's Indiana university. To say it politely... screw hypocritical stuck up Bloomington's. Let's win lol.

He almost got every single thing wrong. He can’t get rumors right. I DM with a lot of people on here and they can verify none of these have been discussed except one.

Glenn Gass is every bit as “IU” as Mother Bears and Herman B Wells.

Still can remember him turning out the lights and playing “Caroline No” really loudly in the dark for us. I kid you not, when I leave this earth that guy will have had left a lasting impact on my life for the journey he helped fuel.

And Captain Beefheart is one extraordinary ******* thing.

Relax. You don’t have to like Beard but there’s plenty of people who do and will continue to support Indiana and give money.

Don’t doubt that for a second it’s pretty clear he had to throw something at the wall to see what might stick. Peegesters were getting restless .

It is Bloomington.  It is why we put Indiana University - Bloomington on our resumes.  It matters and proves my point.  There is a difference.  You don’t understand that difference and the location and how it is so different than every other commuter school with the Indiana names.  I know Pat Hopkins personally and you don’t think he would get a lot of pressure on this.  He would.  Think about that business school pressure on keeping it black instead of red annually.
