So just to recap: we have heard this morning from people who claim to have some sort of inside information:

- It's Brad

- It's a small name coach who will be announced next week

- It's down to 6 people and Mark Turgeon is one of them

- It's going to be an African American candidate

 

Anything else I am missing?

Some of you may call me a heretic but a small part of me almost wants the hire to be Huss just to watch the complete meltdown on this board. Stevens would be funny too for the same reason. For the record I think Huss could become a really good P5 coach someday... But I think the odds of either are quite low. Happy to be wrong if it’s Stevens. Still very interested and cautiously optimistic if it’s Huss. Just THRILLED it’s not Mike The Terrible.

UCLA might not have a choice in the matter. The stipulations in Cronin's contract ie UCLA jumping conferences was never in play when he signed his extension.

We are pretty much guaranteed a meltdown if it’s anyone mid major lol. Although I would personally be pretty excited for McCollum.

Nothing will be announced or rumored until after the season concludes next Sunday or NCAA FIRST FOUR/FIRST ROUND. Our insiders have gone silently which is significant as they were told to silence up. Dolson has his guy, just be patient.

So I’m not saying Brad Stevens couldn’t be the next coach at IU. I’m just simply stating that going to his son’s game, which every father would do, isn’t a very good indication of what’s going on. Now if Jerry, Chris, RtZ, and so on, say Brad had a sit down with Dolson somewhere, or even a zoom call.  I’m all in!
