I’m over coaching search rumors. If someone wants to impress me, find out what that guy said to get thrown out by the ref last night. Not sure the last time I’ve seen that outside of high school ball.

Someone got kicked out earlier this week in a college game. I forget which game.

It was AI... that was the point.   The AI coach % were said to be worthy of a vomit emoji.   I asked chatgpt to give btown banners what it wants.   I didn't even read it,  because it didn't really matter.   The LM stuff is funny though!

Dang that is good stuff.

He's 20-11 in the NCAAT..... honestly, we deserve basketball purgatory for dismissing him, which you aren't necessarily, but.... idk. This is wild to me.

Trying to respect everyone else's opinion, but.... holy smokes guys.

Let's be real. He's only won 1 national championship. Sure it was at Baylor which was historically bad before him. But  how impressive is that really? It's still just 1 championship. We need our next coach to have at least 2 of those under his belt to be happy with the hire. /s

Seriously, though, I don't understand how anyone could look at his record at Baylor and say no thanks. Maybe they don't like something else about him but his record? 5 seed once, 3 seed 6 times, 1 seed twice. 2 S16, 2 EE, 1 NC. Even when he missed the tournament he went to the NIT final twice, winning once.

I knew the Otz stuff magically appearing from every national media guy at the exact same time was fabricated.

FWIW I went over to Iowa State 247 site and a whole lot of nothing not even a mention of a rumor or statement saying they are working on a contract extension. There Coaching Search thread (started because he's a hot potentially candidate) has a number of posters arguing about if he's would consider IU . Most think he would because of our NIL , one way tried to say he didn't believe our NIL was even top 50 in the country LOL .

There Rabjohns said IU is without a doubt top spender in the Big Ten using about 5 mil in  NIL , but doesn't think TJ would leave ISU for IU.

I am always amazed by how many people think we are some small school with limited resources, it is baffling. Particularly when it came to football. It had nothing to do with could we spend like we wanted a seat at the big boy table, it was always would we. I have had several people this year shocked, then laughing at our record when they hear how much this roster cost.

If IU has so much NIL money and resources, but no great coach apparently wants it, does the NIL and resources actually exist?

An interesting hypothetical. We'll find out. IU hasn't made a new hire with these resources available in this landscape. The hire will be telling, IMO
