If I remember correctly Uwe, ty for the spell check, was the equivalent to a 5☆ recruit. We had John Flowers in that class I believe, another all-American. 

Watched John Flowers at South Side HS. Man, he loved to dunk. Went to an IU game during winter break and the crowd cheered loudly when he came in for Uwe. Good times.

I suppose you could argue that Stevens "officially" ruled himself out as a candidate. And even then we are disinclined to believe it haha

I think folks (including myself) will be pining for Stevens up until the news drops that we are officially in talks with or have signed someone else.

I was at church yesterday and overheard a couple friends of mine talking about the coaching search. I walked up and they asked what I thought and I told the I still think it’s Stevens. One guy rolled his eyes and shook his head and the other guy (IU grad and local doctor in our home town) looked surprised and said, “Huh, why do you think that?”

Based on what I've seen elsewhere, including Peegs and Trilly discord, there really does not seem to be any information about the search coming from the agent side of things. Literally the only info we're getting is from people connected to donors.

Which makes sense -- these are people not professionally tied to the situation, but have a personal and financial investment in it. So of course Dolson is communicating with them to some degree about what he is up to. And of course that's the only place from which any info seems to be coming. Everything else at this point seems to be pure speculation.

To reiterate, I'm not an insider and I don't know diddly squat. But after years perusing various boards with "insider" sources, I've learned to read the tea leaves a bit. If I were a betting man, I'd be putting money on Brad Stevens right now. That's just where my gut is.

It’s not that I don’t trust Dolson.  It’s the BOT and Whitten that has to sign off on the hire that worries me.

Absolutely zero "inside" information, but my personal opinion is that Wyc is trying to figure out not selling. 

While Wyc is certainly very wealthy, his father was the large bankroll for him buying the majority stake, and his father was the big voice pushing the sale. 

Wyc doesn't want to sell the team, from what I understand.

Pags getting the team, which is what Celtics fans hope happens if Wyc does sell, would also keep the status quo/keep things stable in the organization.

FWIW the BOT just gave Whitten a contract extension and a raise which I'd take as a signal they'd be in her corner if it's a hire she and Dolson want to make.  There was one reported dissenting vote but it wasn't QB, it was Vivian Winston.
