sweetpain Posted February 24, 2025 Posted February 24, 2025 Here's the real question- who had worse hands Hanner or Justin Smith? I don't either ever caught a ball cleanly. I'm surprised they could even feed themselves as difunctional as their hands appeared to be. Now back to General Coach Candidate News.....Jordan Geronimo feels slightedSent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk Chris007, Hoosierfanyuh, Hollywood Mike Miranda and 3 others 2 4

He's still finished in the top 4 of the Big 12 (the best conference in basketball during that time) the last 6 years and hasn't finished worse than 7th since 2010-2011. Sure it's a down year this year, but nothing tells me he is fading. Most proven coaches are going to have had really good years at previous stops. If Scott Drew says yes, you take him and run. I think it’s mostly that I’m pinning my hopes on infusing something young and fresh into the program at this point instead of trying to go for instant winning success for a few years with an older coach. I think it’s great that he is religious, but I also feel that sometimes people at that age can start to have different priorities in life and other things become More important and the passion that he once had is not exactly there anymore and I would rather not take a chance on that. I also feel that he is most likely in a better environment, religiously speaking down there in Baylor than he would be here at Indiana so it doesn’t really make sense to me on that level.

He’d be a slam dunk for sure. And after a reading a couple threads their natives seem a little restless which is insane. Maybe he’s ready for a change of scenery (or any scenery after living in Waco), and a return home. May have missed it, and sorry if answered, but what’s the NIL situation at Baylor? He has continued to recruit well, so I am guessing probably better than say an Iowa State situation?

I don't know that I'd say he's fading off. This is a down year, sure, but the previous three are as follows: 27-7 (14-4), tied for 1st 23-11 (11-7), tied for 3rd 24-11 (11-7), tied for 3rd Won a game in the tourney each year. He won the title the year in 2020-21. That'd be the best stretch we've had in a long time. OKHOOSIER and ALASKA HOOSIER 2

Two, the Celtics are for sale right now, so probably trying to keep everything quiet. Not disclosing information like this could have extremely damaging effects on the deal overall. If Brad knew he was leaving, those conversations would have had to have happened at this stage of the sale. Otherwise it could kill the entire deal. Not trying to sound pretentious here but I have some experience dealing with M&A. High profile acquisitions like this come with extreme due diligence. The buyers will want to have stability for the transition. Losing the league’s top front office executive may be perceived as potential instability. Unless the new owners have their own guy lined up, it’s likely they’ll want him to stay so things continue to run smoothly. None of this means “therefore he wouldn’t leave”. It just means that at this stage of the process, his intentions would have to be made clear. It can really complicate things. str8baller, VFury, Home Jersey and 12 others 14 1

BA47591 Posted February 24, 2025 Posted February 24, 2025 I'll bet it's a current active p4 coach not in the Big Ten that has been to a final 4 in the first ten years of his coaching career. I feel confident in my wager.

He's also "only" 54. So we could still have a 15 year run with him. So only 6 years older than BS or Otzelberger. He's been around forever so he feels older. I'd be surprised if he left too; but don't think you can say no thanks if he expresses interest. thebigweave 1
