Oddly written story. "Indiana Hoosiers linked to Rick Pitino as head coaching candidate ...Trevor Andershock of 247 Sports has suggested that the Hoosiers could take a look at Rick Pitino....While he does make it clear that he doesn't see a likely fit between the two sides, Pitino would be a very interesting option....Andershock shared some of the reasoning why the two sides won't come together...Pitino is looking at other options, and Indiana has many concerns about his past," he wrote....All of that being said, the idea that Pitino would be a great fit with Indiana is likely never going to turn into a reality. But, it's a fun idea to think about."

So they are linked, but not really and actually they don't want him at all and he's looking at other options? Great insight.

Clickbait headlines are so annoying.

Most of Peegs' connections these days are in the agent world. That explains it. I wouldn't put too much thought into this possibility.

I could see S Carolina moving on from their coach. Have yet to win a conference game

He was SEC coach of year last season. They’ve lost a lot of close games. He gets another year

What other job could Indiana be "competing with?"

Indiana will be open.

Florida State will be open.

Miami will be open.

Virginia will be open.

I don't see any other Big Ten jobs opening unless someone like Hoiberg or Collins were poached.

Villanova? Syracuse?

I think Neptune is stone dead  at Nova. Imagine Autry and Hubert get another year. Terry’s an interesting deal. He’s got the Mike Davis thing going on where he never gets that job under normal circumstances and it’s clearly deteriorating. But surely he gets 1 more year.

Have you noticed the people calling out IsaacTor now for being a troll and asking for him to be banned. The people that realized he was a troll and called him out a week ago got crucified for it. **** cracks me up!

Isn't this calling troll calling the troll troll.

Why would Otz be interested in Iowa??  Don’t recall any connection there and he has a better job at Iowa St.

maybe Devries and McCollum.

Otz is a long time assistant at Iowa State before being the coach and I believe met his wife when she was a student there.

Yes, he was an assistant at Iowa st before the SDak St and UNLV gigs.  He married a former player at Iowa St.

Again, why would he be interested in Iowa?

He wouldn’t be.

If UNC pulls the trigger, damn near half the ACC is going to be open.

I've wondered what the pulse of things is around their program. He's in year 4 and it's been peaks and valleys:

Year 1: Title game appearance.

Year 2: NIT invite (declined)

Year 3: Sweet 16

Year 4: 15-11 and on the outside looking in.

How is he viewed by fans, admin, players? Has he kept good recruiting ties and solid relationships with assistant coaches?

.....Has he asked for a guarantee on a fifth year? Lol
