Here's an out of left field option:  Suppose Dolson believes the whole concept he set up when Woodson came is a winning formula, Woody just couldn't deal with knowledgeable coaches telling him what to do.  So he's going to try again by bringing in Keith Smart has head coach, with Mike Lewis and Pat Knight as associate head coaches to help him navigate the college game; and the cherry on top is my favorite Vegas concierge, Dean Garrett to coach the big men.

(I do realize he had an incident that got him fired from Bowling Green but honestly don't remember much about it).

He was fired for inappropriate touching of a female patron at a bar. Don't know a lot of the info behind that but that he was fired for it

No, not you particularly. It’s clearly a battle where they are trying to discredit you and Isaac. It becomes the narrative. And Bob filled about 2 pages today ranting about it.

I’m just ready to talk/think coaches for the next couple weeks.

Bringing in Matta wasn’t Dolson’s original plan. It was only after Woodson said he wanted a relationship like he had with Grunwald with the Knicks. Dolson couldn’t focus solely on basketball, so he brought in Matta to babysit Woodson.
