General Coach Candidate News

Again, not going to bog down this Candidate News thread by posting the Poll result details here, but did want to post the final overall results and links to the threads where I do provide the details and some of my personal analysis of the data.  I believe understanding the perception we all have of the potential candidates is important to add to the discussion points in this thread.  But most importantly, it should show everyone that, just because you believe something to be true, doesn't mean others do, which is ok and doesn't make you right and them wrong or you wrong and them right.  Only time can truly answer that question.  We are all different and have different view points.  In the end, we are mostly all Indiana Hoosier fans, minus the trolls, and want our team to compete and win national championships.  There are many paths to get there, not just one, but once we do, we can all really unite as one, finally!

Final Approval Ratings

Poll 2

I'd like to believe that every single person against Dusty May is in favor of Steve Alford and that it is a completely binary choice. The math almost works.

$500?  I take the field you take stevens?

It sounds like your trying to give me an injury, so I'll need an attorney. I'll pass. I work for the university so that kind of money is not around. I just want Brad or Dusty. If it's someone else I'll still love IU and root for them but as now I'm just hoping for one of these two.

Best news is we only have to wait about two weeks for some sort of confirmation, until then expecting more chaos

What is happening in two weeks? I don’t expect any announcement until well into March pending how long the next coach lasts in the tournament.

I agree, lol.  Though, that’s such a knucklehead move.

Really rich people DGAF after a few drinks.

Not sure that’s what’s happening here but that’d be my first guess.

better follow UCLA, Clemson, UM and Baylor very closely in March :) My bet is one of these coaches will be at IU with the two teams bolded as my best betting odds to be the next HC at IU.

IndyStar poo poo’d the rumors in their article this morning (Niziolek and Osterman), they wrote, “The overwhelming majority of noise and fury filtering through the IU basketball ecosystem right now is, to use an industry term, crap.”

That said, I am hoping the BTB posters claiming to be in the know are right…

Doyle at the IndyStar is the equivalent to Goodman. Ignore.
