Dakich throwing Porter Moser out there...

Hasn't made the NCAA tournament once since being hired at oklahoma and hasn't finished in the top half of the Big 12 except for his first season there.  Dakich with another bad take IMO

Dan is a moron.  Incoherent too, he struggles to make clear points.  I guess that is why he is stuck on bottom of the barrel AM radio.

Jeff Borzello (national writer at ESPN) article...

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/43722918/indiana-mens-college-basketball-coaching-candidates-mike-woodson-brad-stevens-bruce-pearl

He mentions the "shoot for the moon" candidates (Stevens, Drew, Pearl, Otzelberger, May, Beard) that he feels may be challenging for IU to get. Following this section he lists the "Realistic Candidates if Top Targets Say No": Buzz Williams, Grant McCasland and Greg McDermott. But it's what he says at the beginning of the next section (Sleeper Candidates) that really catches my attention...

"I don't think it'll get this far, but I wouldn't be surprised to see..."

The statement above infers to me that he feels IU can land one of the previous candidates he already mentioned. Friends, if a national writer without IU bias believes that Buzz Williams, Grant McCasland and Greg McDermott appear to be the floor for IU... we're going to be in pretty good shape.

The only claim to fame DD has.

DD would've been 10 times more famous if he grabbed MJ's tongue. Would that be a flagrant 1?

I keep seeing Jay Wright pop up on lists.  Are we missing this one?

I'd mark it as "you're crazy if you don't at least try" but I doubt he's coming back. I'd commit some real life sin for Jay to be on our sidelines.

If your top choices say no hire Buzz Williams. Take the backlash from fans that will most definitely happen and enjoy watching an actual college basketball coach build a program that will compete for the upper tier of the conference and make the tournament most of the year.   He led Virginia Tech to 3 straight tourneys.  Virginia Tech.    IU hasn’t made 3 straight tourneys in 20 + years.    If your guys say no hire a college basketball lifer like Buzz.

Not my top choice by any stretch, but there could certainly be worse outcomes. Much worse.

A&M could keep him if they wanted, I’m guessing. They have so much money they can even splash some at basketball. If they want…
