Dad is a basketball coach. Completely allowed and super smart. Not even a blink on that one.

Yep, a coach with substantial AAU ties and two very talented sons. I’m not knocking Enfield at all. The right connections are key in college basketball. That move shows me he knows what he’s doing and makes me feel better about him as a candidate. He’s moved up my list. Almost out of the ‘I would be disappointed’ category. A couple more wins in the tournament might get him out of there completely.

Tbf those kids were never leaving California. They’ve lived there all their life. I judge Enfield more off the non Mobley years because I think that’d be more indicative of what kind of recruits and results he’d get here.

Dana Altman and/or his people has allegedly reached out to IU about the job.

Definitely could do worse than a guy that wins as much as he does. Would’ve liked him more last search when he wasn’t 62. He also relies heavily on transfers if I’m not mistaken.

Just made his 5th sweet 16 at Oregon today. Idk how much he does or doesn’t rely on transfers but this upcoming transfer season would be a great chance for him to remake IU’s roster if he does. He’s 62 but looks younger than Matta, imo. That’s still young enough to get a good 10 years or more from him.

He’s 62. Is everyone sure now that they want an old guy

Proven winner you could still get 8-10yrs out of. Not my first choice and skeptical he's actually interested, but I hope Dolson returns the call if he is.

I’d prefer to get a younger guy, but 62 is still young enough that you can get a decade from him. We’d get 6 years from him before he’d be how old Beilein is right now. He’s won everywhere he’s been. Just read the info a little while ago and thought it was interesting. I hadn’t seen his name really thrown around here before.

Sauce?

Rabjohns, allegedly. But I haven’t found anything to confirm it. Also a tweet from this guy. 15k followers and followed by Rabjohns, Gottlieb, and some other guys. So, basically your garden variety Twitter rumor, lol. But this guy isn’t anonymous at least.
